My dear friend Steve had been on heavy on my heart all week long and today my mind kept thought enough to call him but I got someone else, so I called his daughter Cindy and got the dreaded news.  Steve had passed away on Sunday July 3rd in Washington, DC where he had returned.  I will be making a tribute blog post to him but for now, my heart is heavy with the loss of a beloved friend.  I will cherish the memories, the stories he shared about his life & adventures.  RIP Steve, you will never be forgotten & always loved

July 8th

Image may contain: text

I was still exhausted from my Dr’s Appointment & working in my flowers on Friday, it was a day spent in bed!  The plan was to do a day trip to the home on wheels, but getting out of bed to potty was more than my body could endure

Between naps I did manage to get in some bible study time

Image may contain: flower and text

Mostly it was a day of sleeping & Hallmark movies, which wasn’t a bad thing as the temps were hot & humid, not god on the Asthma & Allergies

God makes all things beautiful

Sometimes it’s easy to forget how God does make all things beautiful esp when things are not going as well as we’d like.  So give yourself a hug and start your day out with a smile.

My PA showed up around 11 AM, she got the house things all done and it had seemed to cool off a bit and a nice breeze was blowing so even though I was exhausted from yesterday day,  I took advantage & went outside to work in my flowers.  Before I knew it, evening was arriving & exhausted had set in!  This says it all in how I felt and it was an early night to bed!

Doctor’s Appointment

It was already hot & humid when I woke up this morning! I woke up around 9.30 am and my PA arrived, first was to get my needed coffee down me to even get me functioning. Then next on the list was to take the dogs for their walk before getting me showered, dressed & ready to head to my Dr appt.  It was so hot & humid I'd of been stinking if I had showered first.

I’m very slow doing things anymore, getting my brain to send messages to my body parts & getting them to actually do it can be challenging at times.  Also there are times I don’t realize that I'm not communicating what I actually mean or want. I can do or say something & forget it within minutes.  I can lay something down & not find it for days!  Today my head was in a fog, my allergies are horrible, my nose & throat itch so bad, I just want to scratch them out!

This daily inspiration is one that I try to remind myself of, esp on some days when I begin to doubt, it gets me through what the day, evening or night holds.

My Dr appt went pretty good, then a few stops to get some needed items and it was around 7.30 pm when I arrived home, exhausted and ready for my nice comfy bed!  It will take me several days to recoup from today’s activities.  It took everything I had to stay awake in the last store.

Learning to wait patiently …

As bad as I didn’t want to wake up early, it was a must as my PA was coming around 11 AM.

Coffee was a must on the menu to even get me functioning.  It truly takes me an hour or more just to make myself to move in the mornings … the girls are learning that morning is not a good time of the day, my best time of the day is early afternoon, by later afternoon, early evening my body is done for!

Today’s inspiration has been a struggle for me.  As I’m sure I’ve written on many occasions, patience is not something I'm very good with.  I do know from experience that no matter what life throws at me, that God has a plan for me.  It’s not knowing or listening to find out that I’m not good at.  At times I feel like that is where I’m at in my life once again. Other times I feel Meek but regardless I’m grateful God’ word reminds of the above & below.

Happy Independence Day!

Image may contain: text

My PA didn’t take the day off, so she showed up and got me showered, we took mine & dogs walk.  Then we came back did my therapy, body massage and then it was back to bed as I’m still wore out from Saturday.

It was a hot, humid day and one that my allergies just didn’t like.  The AC’s have been running none stop lately, my poor electric bill.

Today is more than just a holiday for cooks outs, or whatever you do to celebrate.  It’s a day to remember the true reason of this day in history America received her independence which means Freedom of devotion to God Almighty.  America was built on the foundation of being a Godly nation, regardless what anyone may tell you.  It’s why America flourished & became the powerful nation she did, because of God’s blessings, not man’s doing.

Image may contain: text

Declaration of Independence, a statement explaining this decision, which had been prepared by a Committee of Five, with Thomas Jefferson as its principal author. Congress debated and revised the wording of the Declaration, finally approving it two days later on July 4. A day earlier, John Adams had written to his wife Abigail:

The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.[7]

Adams's prediction was off by two days. From the outset, Americans celebrated independence on July 4, the date shown on the much-publicized Declaration of Independence, rather than on July 2, the date the resolution of independence was approved in a closed session of Congress

So I ask throughout this holiday, please don’t lose site as to why we truly celebrate this holiday.  America received her freedom of liberties & most importantly our freedom to praise the Almighty God whom has blessed us.  I fear if our nation doesn’t repent of the sins we seem to accept due to political correctness we in return are destroying our nation.  America was founded as a Godly nation.

It’s Hot!

My PA arrived to me just getting my first cup of coffee.  Grandson Toby was already awake and biting at the bits for Grammy to get her shower so we could walk the dogs.

I love these morning reminders on my FB pages, they remind that regardless what the day holds.  I’m blessed God has let me wake up to another day.  Health issue or not, it’s still a blessing. From my home to yours …

After walking the dogs, I worked in my flowers just a bit as it was already getting steamy hot outside and my allergies were screaming and tonight is the parade.  So it was back to bed to rest up for tonight.

I slept most the afternoon, as yesterday activities wore me out more than I realized.  Oldest son stopped by with grandkids to go to the parade but I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t even get enough strength to sit up in bed.  I hated to skip the parade as I love them but my body just wasn’t able.

I ended up sleeping until 7.45 pm, watched some news and the son brought the grandkids back to spend the night with Grammy.  Used to be I kept them, now they babysit for Grammy.

Grandson is tucked away in bed and now it’s time for the Grand daughter to tuck this Grammy in as well.  Sweet dreams from my home to yours ….
