Hey there! I’m Pennie and my amazing life began when i met the man of my dreams. I know this day and age it’s rare for a teenager to meet her prince charming and live happily ever after. I meet my husband the summer before my freshman year. We were married the end of my Junior Year and I am proud to say that I have been happily married to my sweetheart ever since then.
Not only is my husband the love of my life, my soul mate and best friend. He is who lead to me make the best decision of my life. In September of 1983 I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I have to admit there have been times in my life when I have doubted my Lord and Savior and wondered if he could still love me when i couldn’t love him. What i have learned is that each time these thoughts or feelings have put a dark cloud over me. God has embraced me and brought me back into his grace.
My husband is a shy and quiet person whom prefers to remain silent in my blog) so out of respect i try to give him that. I have to admit once in awhile i forget and mention him.
The first few years of my married life i spent it at home raising my children and furthering my education. I have had numerous different types of jobs. While i was a sahm, i did babysitting in my home, worked on our farm, worked in food service. Once my education was finished and my children were old enough I began a career in home health. My passion and love of all the jobs i have done throughout my life was working with hospice patients. I felt it was a calling and a gift God had blessed me with.
In 1996 I suffered a severe back injury. After several years of suffering with a debilitating back injury, in Sept 2000 I was diagnosed with secondary-progressive MS (SPMS) and was forced to retire in October 2000. I spent 10 years of my life basically confined to bed because of my injury and Illness.
Throughout those years i struggled with depression and despair. In September 2004, I tried to commit suicide. But, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ had other plans for me and here I am today. Please join me on life’s adventures.
