Sarasota, FL
Today is our last day at Myakka River State Park. It’s been great and the park is fantastic! If you ever get a chance to stop by and spend some time here you will not regret it. I’d love to come back again.
There are lots of vouchers here in the park, at night time they are eerie roosting in the trees
Lots of water and they have air boats rides as well .. We didn’t go on one here as Peter and Heidi had already done that and hubby wants to do one in Everglades. The outpost is a great place and has lots of gifts and a fast food place to eat and the best part it has free Wifi .. just a tip .. go during the day because once it gets dark the skeeters will eat you alive while your trying to get free Wifi.
Here is Peter and Heidi in front of their rig .. We have had an awesome time reconnecting and it’s hard to say good bye. We definitely can’t wait another 5 years before we get together again. This is one amazing couple and we are so thankful that God brought them into our lives. Heidi and i met online and we talked for several years and finally we met up when the yahoo group we were members of had a gtg at a campground and we bonded and have been friends since. We keep in contact but spending time with them in person is better then anything. Peter and Heidi you rock and you will always be special to us .. thanks again for an awesome time.
We went to lunch to at a Amish place the food was very good but we were a bit disappointed as they didn’t have a very big selection and only 1 vegetable which was green beans. Their desert was basically cut up donuts and muffins. They had a bakery with lots of good looking pies .. i was hoping they had them on their buffet. We got to spend time with our friends so it was worth it.
We came home and got things ready for in the morning. Then we went to visit Peter and Heidi one more time and as bad as we hated to we gave our hugs and said good bye. We headed home and hooked the truck up and finished what we could. All we have left is to pull the slides in and take the satellite dish down and were doing that before we head to bed tonight as we want to get an early start and they saying rain is suppose to arrive around 4 AM and we do not like getting wet while trying to hook up. Until next time …
Happy Summer!!
