Last Day of November

Whoa … November came in like a lamb and appears to be going out with a bang .. it’s been an exciting morning as we woke around 5.30 am to the tornado siren going off. I’m interested in knowing what others do who are boon docking with no shelter near by? We were lucky to be parked near a building so we got dressed and headed over there for shelter. After about an hour we were able to head back to our home.I went back to bed until around 8 am. It was still raining and it’s getting colder We decided to get out and do some errands. We went to the Dollar Store as i needed a few items. I also purchased some Christmas decorations as I feel festive this year. Maybe it’s my new home being bigger and places to hang decorations?

It was then on over to Wal-mart and then back home. It has continued to get colder as the day has went on. When i got up the temperature was 70 and now it's 11-30

One good thing for electric hookups is i can run the electric heater and so it’s nice and warm inside our wonderful home. God Bless

Rainy Day

It started raining this morning and it has rained off and on all day long. At times it poured and others was a steady rain. I have spent my day inside enjoying the comfort of my home. The temperature has continued to get warmer as the goes on.

I'm still not feeling the best. My back is not enjoying this rain. We had some wild turkey given to us and so i lightly browned it and then put it in a pan with onions and bbq sauce to bake. I also put some potatoes in the oven. We had a tasty dinner and the rest of the evening was spent relaxing. It’s still raining and the weather is predicting to be an exciting night.

Brrrrrr .. I’m not feeling well

We woke to a cold morning. Here is a screen shot of the weather bug when i got up. Yep, a cold 27 degrees. Good thing I'm keeping my flowers inside until the cool front passes.Image1

Thankfully we are nice and warm and comfy inside of our nice and warm home. We got dressed and went to church. I had a ruff time sitting through service today as my back is not liking this cold weather. After church we ran into town to the local store and bought some fried chicken and potato salad for lunch. I didn’t feel like cooking today.

I spent most of the afternoon curled up in bed as my back is hurting. I feel like I'm coming down with something as I'm aching all over and feel like i may be running a temp. At least the sun did come out and it warmed up to 60 degrees.

My evening was spent curled up in bed watching the Hallmark channel. Still not feeling good.

Lazy Saturday

I spent the day being somewhat lazy. I did get dress and go over and visit with some of the ladies this morning. Then i came home and threw a potpie in the micro for hubby for lunch. My kind of cooking.

After lunch i finished up my dishes from several days of build up .. then i decided to put up the fall decorations and get out the few Christmas ones i could get too. I purchased a new table cloth, dish towel and table runner, the rest of the things are in the outside compartment.

Later in the afternoon the sun came out and it was nice for sitting outside. The temps were in the low 60’s but with the sun shining it was warm. As soon as the sun left though it was cool and time to retrieve inside to my nice and warm comfy home.

Our evening was spent curled up inside our nice warm and comfy home watching satellite tv. Dinner consisted of a Digiorno pizza.

Chilly & Dreary

I got up late today as it’s a chilly and rainy outside. It rained most of the day and just kept getting colder as the day went on. I even had to bring my plants inside so they wouldn’t freeze. Their predicting a low of 32 tonight. brrrrr

Yes, the weather is bothering my back so no shopping, no nothing for me today. Today was spent curled up on the couch, playing online and enjoying satellite TV.

Is Christmas nearing?

I got up and got things around. I needed to get some laundry done as tomorrow starts the holiday weekend. Since I've been under the weather with my back I've been taking it easy all week long. I like my holiday weekends to do whatever i may want to do (like shopping). Even though i am frugal and don’t like to spend money i still love to shop til i drop. I love spending hours in the store just looking at things. Hubby just doesn’t understand it but he has come to adjust and let me roam while he finds comfort in the truck.

After lunch i needed to run into town as i had thawed some meat out in a bowl i had and i thought it was left over turkey. Well good thing i checked it as it wasn’t turkey .. it was Venice. Well i soak mine for days before i cook it .. so that wasn’t gonna work. I ran into and purchased some cube steak. I also decided to go by both the Dollar Stores and see what they had new in.

Wow, sure isn’t much in Christmas decorations this year or is it just the area I'm in?

I got home and decided to go check out how the project was going as i hadn’t been over there for a few days to get pictures. Looks like the roof is coming together more.

100_3755

Dinner was cube steak and mixed veggies. Then it was the rest of the evening just relaxing and watch the hallmark channel.

Ruff Night

It was a ruff night for me. Yes, my back is giving me big time pain. I couldn’t get comfy and was up and down all night long.

The morning wasn’t much better so i spent most of the morning in bed.

My afternoon was better and I at least got us some dinner made. We had pork chops, mac and cheese and brussel sprouts. After dinner i spent the rest of the evening playing farmville and frontierville. Yes i know i spend way to much time playing these games but it’s a past time for me.

Weekend

Saturday it took us most of the morning to get moving. Finally around noon we were ready to head to do some shopping. We decided to go tour Hattiesburg. A bit of a drive but for Full-timers driving is no big deal.

I love going around the stores and looking at all the Christmas decorations. Yes we stopped and had lunch at the local Chinese Buffet. Wow this place had all the stuff we love and lots of selections. Of course the price was more but worth it.

I purchased a Christmas table cloth for my table, a runner for the coffee table and a new pot holder/hand towel for the kitchen. They all match. I also got one for winter .. yes it has snow men and it says Let It Snow, although i am not wishing for that here. Instead I'm praying that we have a warm winter as you all know the cold and my body doesn’t get along.

Hubby purchased himself a new toy .. oops tool. We had a great but tiring day. We got home late and so it was shower and off to bed.

Sunday we got up and got ready for church. We sure are enjoying the feeding were getting here spiritually. Afternoon was spent just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather. Of course what is a afternoon without a nap.

That night we went back to church and enjoyed another great service. Then it was back home and early to bed as we were both still exhausted from our shopping trip.

Another Day

100_3739

The men sure are going to work .. look how high the roof is going to be. There is no way you’d get me up there.

100_3738

Doesn’t seem to bother Randall .. or does it?

I think I'm back into the mode of just living one day at a time. I am thankful that God has blessed me by allowing me to be here. This area of people are so wonderful and they have welcomed us with open arms. They are making us feel welcome to their family.

Steak Dinner

I had a really ruff night with my back and so I slept in the morning. In fact it was almost 10 am before i got out of bed. It’s still raining and looks to be a dreary day. The temps are in the 60’s. My back is still hurting.

I didn’t make it over to break at 10 am but i did get over there eventually. Lonna had made a cake from her friendship bread and it was so good. Since it’s raining outside no work could be done on the church. So the guys and gals spent the morning just having coffee and cake.

The afternoon was spent inside just relaxing and taking it easy and updating my blog from the weekend.

Tonight several of the men from the church brought T-bone steaks and cooked them on the grill for us. We had salad, baked potatoes and corn on the cob and it was so good. We also had cake for desert which was good as well.

We are being feed so good here, i don’t see me losing any weight as i had hoped, but i am trying to limit my portions.

After we ate we sat and visited and it’s always nice to visit with new friends. Then it was back home and to bed for me. The rain seems to have stopped for now. It’s foggy but the temps are not bad. I’m heading to the shower and then to bed to watch Christmas shows on hallmark.

What an amazing Day

We got up and got ready for church. Church services was amazing. Pastor Bruce is a rocking minister. We sang several great songs. For me personally the song service is was gets me going for the sermon and this church sure is blessed with wonderful musical and song leader. They sing a combination of old hymn's yet they add the newer songs into their services.

After service we had a pot luck and these southern sure do know how to cook. The food was amazing and the fellowship was good.

We got home around 3 pm and we spent the afternoon watching some football and i played online. The rain finally arrived and though my body doesn’t do well .. it’s needed here as they’ve had a very dry summer.

Before we knew it was time for the evening service and we knew that there was to be a baptism. What we didn’t know was it was for 6! Isn’t that wonderful? This church is growing and God sure is working within. It was an amazing emotional service and we are so blessed to be apart of it.

We are really enjoying our stay here. Time is going by so fast. It’s hard to believe that we’ve been here 2 weeks already.

A Surprise Visit from Friends & Bon Fire

Saturday morning i slept in as my back has not been letting me get much sleep. I finally got around and went over to visit with the other ladies and to meet the new RVer’s. Randall and Janice are the newest to arrive and as we were all sitting around having coffee we got a surprise. Virgil and Donna fellow Rver friends of ours showed up to visit. They are in Waynesboro, Ms. We had a great time visiting and finally it was time for lunch. We went home and got ready as we need to do some grocery shopping.

I love southern food but i was craving something different .. I’m sure you all know what that was … Yep .. Chinese. I got online and search what the local places to eat were around in the area. We found a small all you can eat buffet in Lucedale. It was okay for the small area we are in. They didn’t have the big variety that we are spoiled with but the food was very good. We’ll be going back again i’m sure.

After getting our tummy’s full we headed to Save A Lot as that is the discount shopping store here. No Aldie’s but i like Save A Lot. Then it was to the Dollar Tree .. Yep they have one right across the street from Wal-mart. Yes, then it was Wal-mart and on our way home we stopped at Piggly Wiggly as they have meat on sale. I love that i can get online and view their sale ad’s. They have pretty good meat there.

After our shopping it was getting late and so we got home just in time to put our groceries away and then head over to the bon fire that the Rver’s are having tonight. We had a great time sitting around the fire and chatting and getting to know each other more. Randall and Janice are extremely nice people. Spending a few months with them is gonna be great!

Dinner with friends

I spent the morning not doing much of anything as my back is giving me fits again.

100_3696

My hanging flower sure is looking so good with lots of blooms. I’m still finding lady bugs .. ugh these are horrible pest.

100_3697

After lunch i went over and took some pictures of the progress of the building.

100_3698 100_3699

Some of the inside roof had to be torn out for preparations of the new roof that will tie the buildings together. More walls have been placed up and it won’t be long before they will begin starting the framing for the new roof.

100_3700 100_3701 100_3702 100_3704 100_3705

Later in the afternoon another Rver pulled in and then that night we went to dinner at new friends Sonny and Sylvia place in Alabama. We had a wonderful meal of stew made with Catalina dressing .. It was so good, we also had slaw, Mexican corn bread and for dessert. Fellowship afterward our meal was wonderful and finally a little past 8 pm we decided we better head home.

Once we got home it was time for me to retire to my bed as my back is still bothering me. I watched the hallmark channel in bed.

To all those who serve

vetsday-250x111

Today is about remembering all those who have and are serving our country. I thank those who are serving, served, and died for my freedom.

flag-and-eagle

I haven’t really done much today, i did play around with my blog and gave it a new look. I haven’t felt the greatest, the ole back is reminding me it’s there.

Cleaning

It’s one of those dreaded days .. Yep .. cleaning day. I needed to vacuum, dust and a load of laundry. At 10 am i went over to visit with the ladies. Around 11 am i came home and finished up my cleaning. Lunch was left over’s.

After lunch i did a bit of Farmville and then spent my afternoon sitting outside enjoying the gorgeous weather.

Wednesday night dinner before church was excellent .. we had ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, home made chicken and noodles and brownies for dessert.

Pastor Bruce delivered a good sermon. After church we came back home and called it a night.

A Day of nothing

Today was a day of nothing. I was exhausted from the past few days. It’s amazing how I think i’m doing okay and then boom exhaustion hits me with my disability.

I did do my dishes and get the beef roast going in the crock pot. I finally got dressed a bit before 10 am and went over for break time to visit. I’ve been being good about doing that. I enjoy the fellowship. After that i came home and just relaxed.

Lunch was left over's and after lunch i rode to town with Evie, she needed some things at the grocery store. I had forgotten carrots and so i got those for tonight dinner.

Once we got back i peeled my potatoes and got them ready for later and just spent the afternoon sitting outside watching the guys and enjoying the beautiful weather. I did put my flowers back outside today and pray they don’t freeze tonight .. although they are saying it’s not suppose to. My evening was spent laying in the recliner catching up my blog.

Monday, November 8, 2010

It’s Monday

I slept in this morning as i had a ruff night of getting to sleep. Once i finally drug my bones out of bed it was very cool .. we’ve had a cool spell with the temps droping into the high 20’s at night and the day time being in the mid 60’s. I needed to start my laundry as i hadn’t done it all weekend. I love having the washer/dryer but small loads is all it can handle.

100_3689 100_3690

I decided to take my cappuccino and go over for break time with the gals and guys. Still lots of work to be done on the walls, but it’s coming along nicely.

100_3691 100_3692 100_3693 100_3694

After lunch Lonna and I ran into town to check out the 2 local dollar stores and then it was time to head home and get dinner going. Since this is such a small area and most food places are not open during the week i have been cooking on Mon, Tues and Thursday nights for our evening meals. Wednesday night the church has an evening pot luck and the weekends have been eating out as well. Tonight i forgot to thaw any meat out so i had some hamburger already cooked up and used it to make mostacholi .. it was good too.

I was out of bread and didn’t realize it when i was in town early a trip back to town was made to the local Piggy Wiggly. I purchased some pork chops and beef roast that was on sale as well. Then i called it a night and headed to bed.

A Day of Rest?

We got up and got ready for church and we had intentions of coming home and enjoying a quiet lunch and just relaxing … hmmm

Nope .. didn’t happen … after an amazing service we were invited out to lunch with Sonny and his wife Sylvia. We went back the to the Kountry Kitchen. We spent most of the afternoon visiting and enjoying the fellowship. We finally got home around 3.30 pm and hubby watched some football and i took a short nap.

Before long it was time for church and after church Jim and Lonna had returned from their weekend get away. I visited with Lonna a bit and then came home and drank a cup of cappuccino .. big time mistake!! I couldn’t get to sleep. Finally at 1.30 am i took a sleeping pill and got to sleep.

100_3676

We decided not to eat at the Old times Day and decided on a place in town where we could sit down. We went to the same place we went Sunday and it’s called Molton’s Kountry Kitchen. We had the buffet.

100_3677
