I was up early as we ladies went shopping and out for lunch. We headed to Burkes, Hancock’s, the mall and lunch at El Reparo. I order an enchilada with rice and beans. It wasn’t very good. Diane wasn’t thrilled with her Taco Salad and Jean’s enchilada had very stringy chicken. I prefer Sombrero’s. After a long day of shopping we needed to get back and get ready the Christmas Program at David’s (Camp Director) church.
We rode with Tommy and Diane and head to watch Meagan and Oliva in the program.
Olivia and she did a great job and was a stand out as she got into the songs. the first girl to the right in the red dress. Next Meagan (second photo) did a couple solo on the keyboard and she did a job. She has taught herself how to play and just began Piano lessons in November. This girl has talent. There were several other unique skits. One was on Cow Pies! YESSS.. I'm talking about real live cow Pies! A very talented Neural Surgeon who is also a comedian did her version of “Who let the dogs out” it was very good and lead into passing gas in church. It was done in good taste and very funny.
After the program was time for cookies and hot apple cider. They have a fantastic kitchen. Everything was donated to the church from a company going out of business in Texas and they have made a really unique kitchen. Complete with a bar (of course no alcohol is served here)
another area is a like a gazebo complete with a sitting area
and they even had booth’s around just like a restaurant.
It’s been another wonderful day here Louisiana. We got home around 9.30 PM and it was time to shower and get ready for bed as we have a long day planned for tomorrow. Stay turned to find out what is next for us.
