We woke up to 28 degrees! Ole man winter has found me again! First on our list was to head to town to get our front passenger tire looked at. After doing that and being a waste of time, (we have an appointment to come back on Monday) we headed to fight the crowd at Wal-mart. Yep it was crowded and we got dog food and high tailed it out of there. I was so ready to get back home. I do not like fighting the crowds of people out before Christmas. So your going to get the last continuous of our trip to Lafayette.
(Lafayette, La continued)
After leaving Avery Island .. it was getting dark and we were all getting hungry so we headed to …
Lagneaux’s .. King of Seafood .. we have heard excellent revues about this place and even the local’s here said it was a must to eat there.
I didn’t get a picture of my plate as i would be to ashamed. I made a pig out of myself and I ate lots of shrimp and they had the best catfish I've eaten in my life. This place succeeded beyond it’s reputation. I normally do not like crab but they didn’t have the Alaskan crab they had blue crab and it was delicious. Dinner price was $21.99 per person for all you could eat buffet and trust me .. i got my money’s worth! Lunch prices are $11.99 but i do not know if they have the same things on their menu. http://www.lagneauxs.com/ If you are ever in the area, this is a must to stop and eat here. I’d go back in a heart beat and YESSSS .. tight wade me would pay 22 bucks for the dinner menu again! That is saying a lot for those who know me personally.
The last thing on our list to do today was head to Acadian Village to go through their Noel Christmas Lights of Light the Night.
We arrived and got parked and walked up to the gate. It was $9 per person to go through.
Lots of beautiful lights every where

It’s hard to see but that is Tommy and I acting silly :)
They had food stands, but of course we were all way to stuffed from our wonderful dinner, but we did stop and listen to some live entertainment.
We’ve done so much walking today and after the huge meal i had, i needed that, i feel less miserable. Here we are heading out and ready to head home.
We left a little before 8AM and didn’t get home until after 10 PM. My dogs were angels, they didn’t potty on the pads or the floor. But they sure were happy to see us come home and let them outside to do their business. This is the place that we got stuck in mud with a 4 wheel drive truck and it took a bit longer then we thought to get home. If you missed that story it’s here .. just click on the link below ..
