After losing an hour of sleep this morning it took me a bit to get up and moving. No .. I wasn’t late for church, we managed to get to church on time. Pastor Barry is gone all month and his fill in just wasn’t the same. Church seemed really long today. After service we went to my favorite place to eat .. yep Chinese. Then a trip to the Dollar Store (I was hoping for some cheap bird seed) no luck. $14 .. P.Plate, bowls, Easter candy, I couldn’t resist a cute butterfly wind chimes and etc. Then a dreaded trip to Wal-mart for needed supplies. $90 bucks .. ughhhh pot pies, brats, chips, snack cakes, ice cream, popsicles, drink mix, instant coffee, cereal, pudding, sour cream, soda, eggs, milk, bread, bird feed and etc.
I purchased Charcoal and starter fluid for the up coming bbq on Tuesday. Wow, it’s been awhile since i have purchased that stuff. 10 bucks for both!! So glad we do the gas grill these days. A tank of propane last us all year for our little grill.
Onto another note, I wonder what everyone will be doing about their travels this summer if gas prices continue on the rise as they are predicted? So far here in Texas diesel prices have held @ $3.79 a gallon the past 2 weeks.
With the tragedy of Japan and what is going on in other countries it seems any little thing affects fuel prices. My thoughts and prayers are with these countries.
Right now plans are to head to Mississippi around April 2nd for a few weeks and then it will be back to Illinois to see our kids and grand children. We plan to spend the month of May visiting family and then the first 3 weeks of June will be spent vacationing with our kids in Missouri and then plans are to head to Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and South Dakota then make our way back to Illinois to see our family before we head for our winter destination.
It’s been a cloudy day today and the night set picture was taken as you can see no pretty sunset picture. I spent my afternoon and evening outside enjoying the wonderful temps were having. It was a beautiful night and I enjoyed being outside. Although i have to admit my allergies are not enjoying all the pollen in the air.
