Good Friday

It was a beautiful day when I finally woke up and got around.  I move pretty slow in the mornings and after a long day yesterday I wasn’t even sure I’d be able to get out of bed.  It was a ruff night but by afternoon I felt good enough to get outside for a bit.  I took the dogs on a walk which excited them as it had been awhile.  That was all it took to send me back to bed though.  It exhausted me!

Good Friday is a special day & in fact the entire weekend is as I can’t explain how grateful I am that Jesus Christ willing sacrificed himself for my sins, that I couldn’t begin to pay the price for.  It’s humbling for me.  I found this on Facebook and it truly speaks volumes!

This picture showed up in my memories from back in 2012.  This was taken at my dad’s house when he was in his final last days.  My brother Jimmy & sister Cheryl was missing.  It was shared for sibling day yesterday.

My oldest son stopped in to check on his Momma.  Normally even if it’s a quick check in he stops in and checks on me and makes sure I don’t need anything.  Later in the evening my sister in law Faye came over to check on me and I went outside for a bit and visited with my brother Ronnie, sil Faye and her sister Sadie.  We had a nice visit and it was a beautiful evening. 

As we celebrate this week, I pray that if you do not know Jesus Christ that you will.  I can’t imagine how enduring some of things I have without him.  I honestly believe his strength and knowledge that one day I will be embraced by my heavenly father is what gives me the will power to continue on with life.

Dentist!

It was a slow moving morning and I had a dentist appointment to get my teeth cleaned.  I have gun disease that runs in my family and so my teeth are done in segments.  Today was a mishap that turned tragedy & into 4 hours! When the tech went to clean my teeth with that electric cleaning tool, one of my teeth exploded due to a unknown hair line crack.  So Yes,  that meant a surgical extraction! Problem was my gums are inflamed and getting enough pain killer to numb my gums just wasn’t happing. A few weeks before when I went I had a reaction to numbing medication and gave them a bit of scare.  None of us wanted a repeat and finally I said, go for it and I will do my best to hold still and take it.  after many attempts the tooth was removed in multiple pieces.  I say it was a blessing as the past couple of days the side of my face had been hurting but  I was blaming it on my MS. 

I found this on Facebook & decided it fit how my day had gone, yes I could of been upset because I lost a tooth but in the end, it could of started hurting over the holiday weekend when I couldn’t get ahold of anyone & that would have been way worse.  On the bright side,  just have a sore & tender jaw, that I can handle.

Finally around 5 pm I arrived back home and was ready to hit the bed!  I had planned to stop at Wal-mart but after my appointment I was so exhausted and just ready to get home and sleep!  My evening was spent napping and watching TV.

Happy 9th Birthday Toby

Wow, it’s hard to believe our little Tobe man is 9 yrs old today!  He has grown so fast.

Toby had a skating party for his 9th birthday.  He has grown so much this past year!

Dreary Wednesday!

Woke up to a dreary looking day, then came a rain shower and then the sun popped out. 

Spent most my day in bed, nursing a screaming back! From my home to yours ….

April Fools Day!

March is gone and April is here!  I’m ready for Sunshine & warmth although my allergies are not liking the new growth.  I’m ready to get outside and spend time working in my flowers.  The sun is shining and I’m hoping to get outside later on, it may not be to do any work but to just enjoy some fresh spring weather.

It ended up being to cool for me to go outside but I enjoyed the view out my window.  Another day

One thing I love about weekends is Hallmark has movies on and even though I've seen them, I still enjoy watching reruns.  I found another channel I like as well called reelz ch 299, last weekend they had all day of Elvis Presley’s life and tomorrow is JFK which I still like to watch.  Well it’s that time to say …

March is gone!

Seems like the days just seem to fly by anymore?  I guess when you sleep life away it does that? I put in a ruff night with my teeth, they are still sore but at least the pain is gone.  I’m still eating soft food today. 

My grand daughter went home later in the afternoon, it was nice to visit with her, the grandson came in for a bit to say hi but mostly he wanted to see the fur babies.  Roo and Lexi were excited to see him but Momma cat wasn’t happy that he wanted to hold the babies. 

It’s a chilly, nippy day, with clouds and no sun to be found.  I’m ready for sunshine & warmth.  I was hoping to get a walk in with the grand daughter but that didn’t happen.

It ended up being a early to bed night

Rain & Dentist

Today was 5 yrs ago my sister Rosemary passed away, tomorrow would of been her birthday.  Cancer is a horrible disease and takes loved ones at such an early age.  Happy Birthday sis, your deeply missed and loved by so many.

I  had a dentist appointment today, so it meant a night with little sleep and getting up early.  It takes me time to get moving in the morning, you’d think after a night of sleep I’d be at my best but in fact mornings are ruff, afternoon is my best time of the day and by 6 pm I’m exhausted and done for the day.  I have about 3-4 hrs of the day that I can actual function.  After a ruff night and about 3 hrs sleep, I was awake by 4 am but by the time came around for me to leave 8.15 am I still wasn’t feeling good.  I had to get another section of my upper teeth deep cleaned and  it didn’t go very well.  The tech numb me up but it didn’t go well as I started having difficultly breathing and my head was spinning.  My heart rate dropped extremely low and after getting me back around the tech was finally able to finish.   I came home and spent my entire day in bed.   It has been a busy week for me, having appointments 3 days in row is just too much for my body.  I spent the entire afternoon/ evening resting & sleeping.

The grand daughter came to spend the night and help Grammy out, but I didn’t spend much time with her as I spent most of it sleeping. Hopefully tomorrow we can get some quality time in. I’m hurting tonight due to the damp, chilly weather and my face is swollen on the side my mouth was worked on  It hurts and is very sore so it will be soft or liquids until it heals up.
