Sunday Fun day?

Today was a dreary type of day with no sunshine but at least the temp’s were fairly nice. I enjoyed opening the door and looking outside while enjoying the Hallmark channel.  I guess it wasn’t actually a Sunday Fun day but I’m thankful for the blessings God has given me.  I have a dry roof and food for a nice tasty dinner tonight.  Many don’t even have that.  Instead of thinking of the negative, lately I’ve been trying to think of the positive (although I admit at times it’s very hard to do)

Saturday woke up to rain and a screaming back, I had put in a ruff night. At least Friday was a beautiful day even though it was windy. I took advantage of the sunshine & warmth.  Lacey and I went for a ride on our chair around town.  It felt great getting outside, I was careful not to do anything to exhaust myself and have another fainting spell.  It was too muddy to work in the flower beds anyway.

Happy First Day of Spring

My day was spent in bed not feeling good,. 

Last Day of Winter?

Today is suppose to be the last day of Winter?  I’m praying it’s true and Spring is in the air as I'm looking forward to warmth & Sunshine.  I enjoy being able to get outside and esp working in my yard and flowers. 
The Sun is shining and I have my door open a bit to enjoy some light.  I haven’t ventured outside as It’s been a lazy day for me, I spent time outside yesterday and it doesn’t take much to exhaust me and sap my energy.

I didn’t end up going outside after all today as my body was just to exhausted from yesterday, so I made it a Hallmark day.  Love Hallmark on the weekends and I enjoy watching the Golden Girls before calling it a night.  All though I don’t like having to wake up at 4 am to watch I Love Lucy but at least if I'm having a bad night and can’t sleep there is something on TV I can watch.

It’s that time to curl up and call it a night,  So from my home to yours …

Happy Saint Patty’s Day

It’s amazing how fast time flies by,  I can’t believe it’s been over 2 months since I last posted!  Although there hasn’t really been much to post about as my life seems to be stuck in the same old routine even though it’s not where I want it to be at.   Doctor appointments, more doctor appointments or sleeping life away is about I do day in and day out.

I’m still battling health issues and as you know I have SPMS and it seems I've reached the advanced stages and I’m told at this point in life all I can do is treat the symptoms.  I’m still unable to walk and most my time is spent in bed as it doesn’t take much to exhaust me.  By the time I ride the hour ride to and from appointments it’s about all my body can withstand and I spend days sleeping for my body to recover.  I don’t even go grocery shopping anymore as it’s just too much. 

I did end up having a good St. Patty’s day as my Grand daughter Hailey came and spent the night with me and I always enjoy the time I get to spend with her.  She is growing up so fast and turned 13 in Jan!  I hope you all had a great day!

Baby Kitties

 

On March 9th Momma had another liter of kitties, she didn’t get to the vet in time before we could prevent this   But, in a way I’m happy as you know Fetus was killed last fall.

She had 5 precious little ones, 1 silver/grey, 2 tiger stripped and 2 black ones.  they are growing and yes she had them in my bed again!

Since the weather decided to get pretty cold again she got to stay in my bed because heating the entire house is not an option and so it was best for everyone for them to remain in my bed!  Yep, 4 dogs, 1 Momma cat and 5 kittens all in one king size bed!  Just thankful I have a big bed for all my fur babies.  I’m thankful everyone gets along and Momma doesn’t seem to be bothered that her fur siblings are as protective as she is.  It’s funny cuz when Momma leaves to eat, potty or just needs a break they line up around the babies like they are babysitting.  On occasion we have a tiff  if someone gets to close than one of the others think they should.  For now we have a loving family

The little ones are thriving and doing great and so is Momma, although not sure how I'm gonna afford her food bill, she is eating a can of tuna everyday and then I have to share my dinner with her as well plus kitten food.  They are a week old, have their eyes open and she is still cleaning up after them.  So for now were safe but once it warms up, to the spare bedroom she will go with them.  The past few days she has started leaving them more and laying on the other side of the bed, she even went outside for a bit the last couple of days.  She doesn’t like using a litter box and prefers to do her business outside which is fine with me.  It won’t be long before the babies start using a box and in a few weeks I will start offering them soft food.  I’ve got several wanting one already which is great.  It won’t be long before we have little critters running, climbing and driving everyone crazy. 

Brrr … it’s a COLD Sunday

We’ve been having some really code temps!  The low’s have been in single digits and one night even reached 0!  The high’s have been anywhere from 14-22. 

I haven’t been out of the house since Christmas Eve!  Winter is hibernation for me just like the bears, snakes and all those creatures.  I spend my days/nights mostly in bed on heating pads trying to keep my body from screaming with pain!  Thank goodness for the Hallmark channels!  Christmas movies just finished and now it’s onto Winter fest!

I had hope to spend this winter somewhere warmer but health issues are still making that not possible.  I am starting to see a turn around as the new med’s seem to be working on getting things moving out.   It feels good to be able to eat and know that swelling, pain is not going to torture me for doing so.  I’m trying to follow the diet of lots of insoluble and very little soluble fiber!  No raw veggies and veggies are limited to so many a week.  Instead I'm getting fiber from different sources.  Hopefully if things continue to get better I can reschedule a few more surgeries to bring this journey to a complete. 

I’m able to take a few steps and my goal is to again walk and get out of this wheelchair but I have to keep reminding myself that baby steps are better than no steps at all!

Cold .. Snow .. Freezing

It was a ruff night sleeping with the screaming back but I finally made it through it and  this is today’s weather.  It’s cold, we have snow and it’s freezing! 

It’s been a day curled up in bed on my heating pads snuggling with the fur balls.
