Fall is in the air

The campground is starting to get lonely.  Only a few of the In Motion Volunteers are left and just a handful of RV Maps. We’ve had rain and the cool air has arrived.  Fall is definitely in the air.  The trees are turning colors and starting to fall.  It won’t be long.

As you can see by my weather bug .. it’s cold!!  I’ve been having problems with back pain and not sleeping the past several nights.  This is hubby’s favorite time of the year.  We did get to see 3 deer this morning across from our home and it was fun watching them enjoy the peaceful campground.

We purchased our RV anti-freeze last week and it won’t be long and we will be winterizing and moving to our stick home.  I’m torn between wanting to hookup and head to warmer weather and staying here with our family.  We are still not sure what our plans will be but we do know that we are spending the holidays at home with our family this year.  I’m dreading the thought of having to unpack our camper.  There is so much to do!  We will have to remove all food, cleaning supplies and anything that can not freeze.  We are treading on new territory as we  have never winterized and had to cross these waters before. 

The grand kids are coming this weekend for one more weekend of camping and then next week I plan to get busy getting things done to close up until further notice.

Last Day of Convention

Today is the last day of 2013 RV Maps Convention. We had our business meeting in the morning and then the last day of project signup. 

Rick Dostal who our project coordinator.  His famous last words are “it’s on the way” even if it’s 500 miles the other direction!!

We didn’t signup for any projects for the year of 2014 as we do not know what exactly we will be doing.  We are still on hold due to some family issues that we are not sure about. 

After our evening service we hugged and said good bye to many of our friends that we will not see until next year.  It’s a sad time but everyone is exhausted and ready to move on.

Free Night

Today was the auction for RV Maps ministry but since I’m not big on auctions I passed that up and did some of my campground duties.

Once again we had another pot luck get together with lots of people attending.  Everyone brought their own utensils and a covered dish

the line was long with around 75 people in attendance.

once we got our bellies full and the evening went on we visited and then …

an amazing worship service broke out as we began to praise and worship our Savior.  It was a very moving night

tomorrow is our last day of convention and everyone is getting exhausted!

Teen Challenge Choir and Ice Cream

It’s been another busy day and the night started off with a skit by 2 of our Missionaries. 

The we were honored to have the Kanas City, Mo Teen Challenge Choir to entertain us and what an awesome experience it was!

Several of the men gave their testimonies and it was a very moving experience.

we ended the evening with a Ice cream social .. thanks AG Financial!

Another Day of Convention

Monday night we broke out into our regional groups and here is 2 couples that are wonderful friends of our.  Everyone but me was sporting beads that our Regional Missionary Bill Gross threw to the crowd.  Of course hubby got a special treat as Bill personal put the beads around his neck and then kissed him on the head.

2013 RV Maps Convention Begins!

The 2013 RV Maps Convention has officially began!! 

What an exciting time it’s going to be.  Pastor Phil Schneider started off our Sunday morning services with a moving message, then we had a great lunch.

Pastor Brad Williams from Lindale Texas gave an awesome message Sunday night.  Convention is off to a great start!!

It’s starting to get busy

The campground is filling up with early arrivals for the 2013 RV Maps Convention.  It’s an exciting time of the year.  We get to see friends we haven’t seen all year long and we get to meet new friends.  We enjoy fellowship and worshiping our Savior.  It’s a time to restore, renew and get ready for the new year ahead of us in Building churches and changing lives.

It’s a tradition to start out with a Saturday morning breakfast get together.  Yessss .. I get up early to attend!!

as usual there was a large turn out and it was great morning for a outside get together

Saturday night was registration and tomorrow the Convention officially begins and the grand kids go home.
