Touring Ajo, AZ

It was another beautiful day here in Ajo, Az.  I am so enjoying basking in the warmth of the sunshine.  I was a bit on the lazy side this morning and it was another slow start to my day.

on the list today was touring the town of Ajo, I enjoy driving around and looking at houses and stuff.

they had a motor home setup camp in their parking lot too

not really much to blog about today, more basking in my lounger outside enjoying a good book, in fact, a few more days of beautiful temps and I will have finished my first book this winter! 

We took the dogs on several walks, and dinner tonight was some veggie soup I made out of the left over pot roast meal.  Another wonderful day.  Our evening was spent just relaxing before calling it another beautiful day.  They are predicting another cold front coming in this weekend .. I’m not looking forward to that at all!

More work

I had a ruff night of sleeping, between having a dog sick with the flu and my back was screaming.  It was around 4 AM before I actually got some needed sleep.  So this morning I slept in until 9.30 AM.

next on the list is to put a new roof on the church and classrooms .. this is a big project ..

I took the dogs on their daily walk and we enjoyed the warmth of the sunshine

Several of the men from the church are working on it .. one of the ladies from the church brought lunch .. we had beef and chicken enchiladas , refried beans and rice .. it was so good!

the weather has been wonderful and of course I spent my afternoon outside lounging in my chair  .. dinner tonight was left overs

at 7.20 Pm we went outside and watched the satellite move across the sky, it was neat and then the rest of the evening was spent relaxing.

Even though the dogs woke me up earlier then I like (around 8.30 AM) It was another beautiful day here in Ajo, AZ.  The sun was out and the temps are wonderful!  T-shirt and short pants weather .. YES .. this is the life I enjoy.

Yesterday my grand daughter called to tell me that she got student of the month!  Then her mom posted a picture on Facebook for me.  Congrats Hailey Grace .. way to go .. Grammy and Papa are proud of you. 

We’ve been gone 3 months and for some reason today I have really missed family and friends .. Here is a picture of my grandchildren with my mother in law.  It’s still way to cold to return to Illinois but even though we are thousand of miles away my family and friends are still in my heart.  I love you all and miss you all very much!

I got this picture off Facebook today too.  It’s of Debbie (who is like a sister and apart of family) my dad in his younger days.  My dad’s birthday is next month and I find myself missing him. 

the roof of the fellowship hall is all finished, even the trim and the painting of the things that stick out (no I have no clue what you call them) I like the red roof, makes it look good, their going to paint the wood part red and the concrete building tan.

I took the dogs on a morning walk and came home and did a few things inside, later in the day I walked to the Dollar store for some sugar and dish soap and the rest of my afternoon was spent lounging in my recliner outside.  Have I told you .. Yep this is the life I enjoy.

Dinner tonight was pot roast with carrots, onions and tators and it was so good.  After dinner we took the dogs on their evening walk and spent the rest of the evening relaxing surfing the web and enjoying our leisure time of watching TV

Ajo Cemetery

I was awaken by these fellows squawking this morning.  It’s another beautiful day here in AZ.  I got up and got my cleaning done and then I took the dogs on their morning walk.  Later we sat outside and enjoyed the warmth and sunshine.

The guys finished early today and the fellowship hall is finished. Since it was early enough and we had heard there were some old stones in the cemetery and I love looking through a cemetery at the head stones.  The cemetery was on the list today to do some touring.

after out tour we came home and took the dogs on their evening walk and dinner tonight was a pork roast that I had thrown in the crock pot.  I forgot to add the carrots and potatoes since we headed out the door so I heated up some veggies to go with.  That’s okay there is plenty so that is what we will have tomorrow.

the rest of the evening was spent surfing the web and watching TV.  Before we knew it, it was time to get ready for bed.  Another wonderful day here in AZ
