I was in bed by 8 PM, thinking i was going to watch some Christmas shows. Well it wasn’t long and i was fast asleep and only got up during the night to potty and then it was back to bed and sleep. I must of been really exhausted and needed the sleep.
We woke up to beautiful warm temps. We didn’t do much this morning as we both just wanted to lazy around. It sprinkled rain a little bit and was overcast.
After lunch we decided to take a ride down Beach Blvd which is only down the street from us.
WOW .. there are some very nice homes on this block. The beach is nice across the road from these homes. Although there are no places to park and walk the beach. Hmmm i wonder if this a private beach for these homes only? It appears they do not want visitors.
We found it strange that these homes have double stairs .. we are curious why they did this.
As anywhere there is water there appears to be a shipyard. This is Ingalls shipbuilding and it’s a very large company. We’ve been told they employee several thousand and it’s been stated on the news they are going to be laying off around 500 employees soon. Apparently Mississippi has the 3rd highest unemployment rating at 10.6 percent right now. Although i have to admit it sure doesn’t show in the area.
Of course i couldn’t end my day without finding somewhere to access the beach :))
There was some wind and so that meant waves. We were getting splashed up on the bank from the waves hitting the rocks. The beach here has a rock edge not like Biloxi and Gulfport.
The birds were out enjoying the warm temps. Of course they were also looking for something to eat. Sorry i didn’t share. I have found by experience if you feed these birds they will flock at you and you can get them to leave you alone!!
We didn’t park in the prettiest spot but hey it gave us access to walk the beautiful beach they have here.
They were working on the beach, not sure they enjoyed us walking on it but oh well. I told hubby let them try to run off this handicap women who will use her cane on them.
As you can see it’s a beautiful beach, just a shame it doesn’t have any parking for people to enjoy. I guess they want it to be one of those beaches you just drive by and enjoy. Sorry fella’s I'm not a drive by beacher .. I'm a get out and enjoy beach bum and that is exactly what we did.
After we got home it was time to start dinner. I’m cooking tonight .. YES, it’s true, honestly, I’m truly cooking a meal. We are have beef steak with potatoes and carrots. I put the steak in my electric skillet, browned it on each side with some easy O and then added some water and let it cook for awhile and then added carrots, potatoes and onions and it turned out really good.
I saw on the news where Texas got snow! Temps here today were in the mid 70’s and it was an absolutely beautiful day for walking and enjoying the beach. Were suppose to have some cooler temps move in by Wednesday thanks to the Texas storm. Please keep your Texas weather i do not want it.
Happy Summer!!

A Beautiful Day
We woke up to a beautiful day .. temps were in the mid 70’s and i had to turn on the AC this afternoon. We got up and got ready for church this morning. I was actually ready a half hour before time to leave. Very rare for me :) Of course we didn’t have far to go. Walk out our door and around the corner and were at church.
We had a nice service and everyone was really friendly. After church we had to hurry home as the satellite guy is coming this afternoon. YES you read that correctly. I was shocked when i called yesterday afternoon to set up an appointment. Sure enough we were not home 2 mins when the phone rang to see if we were out of church as they were almost here.
The guys showed up and come to find out our problems we are having were not our fault. Our dish is the wrong dish for this area. They have changed back to the old satellite of 110 &119 because of all the problems the new south east dish was causing. So once they exchanged our dish, changed some settings inside we were all setup. I had to call later as they still had not turned on our local channels but all is well now. We’d like to stay on the old system as it’s much easier to hit then the new south east. Time will only tell.
After we got all setup on our satellite we needed to run to get something to fix our sewer .. i have tons of laundry to do and so we found a Lowes over in Gautier about 10 miles away. We also decided to go ahead and stop by Save A Lot and Wal-mart and get some needed groceries. We didn’t get home until 4.30 PM. We decided dinner was going to be something easy as neither of us were in any mood to stop and eat or cook. I had cereal and hubby had mushroom soup.
I spent my evening working on setting up hubby’s computer as i had to restore it. It kept freezing up and i think he got some spam or a virus and i didn’t want to take the time to figure it out and he doesn’t really keep much other then his favorites on his computer. I did have to download and upgrade his browser, anti-virus and weather bug.
The rest of my evening is going to be spent curled up in bed watching the Lifetime Christmas shows. I’m exhausted and looking forward to a few days of nothing but doing laundry .. NOT but i have already done 3 loads and have at least another 4 or more to go. So glad i can do it inside of my home and not have to go anywhere.

Everyone is finally Moved!
Pascagoula, MS
Oh what a stressful few days it’s been .. Friday nothing went right for us and when we got to Steve’s to move him they had the only road out tore up and we barely fit through with our truck. NO way could we pull a 32’ travel trailer through there. Since we wasn’t able to move Steve we all decided to head to Hard Rock to eat lunch. They have a discount buffet on Wednesday and Friday’s. After we ate lunch Steve still needed us to help him get several things done. So off we went to finish up his to do list. What a day it was and we didn’t get home until after 8 pm and we still had to pack and get ready for our move in the morning. We finally got finished and after showering it was almost 11 PM before getting to bed. At least all we have to do in the morning is unhook the electric, put the slides in and put hubby’s coffee pot up.
We were up early and on the road to moving by 8 AM! Our morning did not start off good. One of our slides did not want to go in and no it wasn’t the one that i crushed the printer in. We needed to stop and dump our tanks before heading on the road. For the just in case. It was a very tight squeeze getting our big rig in to dump. With time and good maneuvering on hubby’s part we finally got that dirty deed done.
One good thing about the morning was it was really nice by 8 AM it was already 58 degrees and reaching the low 70’s :)We didn’t go far only about 35 miles. We will be staying in Pascagoula, MS for around 2 weeks or so.
Once again it was tight maneuvering on hubby’s part as city streets are not built for big rigs. Hubby did good and we just took our time. Once we got to where we were going they didn’t have the van moved for us to park and no one was around to move it. Luckily for us it was unlocked so we took it out of gear, while hubby pushed on it i ran the break. We got it out of the way enough we could park where we could reach the hookups.
We got backed in where they told us to park and got setup. YES, we are parked in a parking lot. Not the pretty site we just left. But hey i have full hookups here and 2 weeks worth of laundry that needs to be done! I’m not going to complain about our view. I do not have any other rigs on top of me and i have a full view on our door side, our back side is not pretty but as i said I'm not complaining. Instead I’m thankful i do not have to go to a laundry mat and most of all it’s free rent!
Uh Oh .. our water hose has a leak, our sewer is running up hill. Ughh we decided we wouldn’t worry about either until later. So we headed to Biloxi to Steve’s place and i tried calling several times to let him know we were on our way. Of course he wasn’t answering. We barely missed the Christmas parade on our way over. (of course i wouldn’t of minded seeing it but we just didn’t have time)
Steve finally returned my call when were about 5 mins from his place. His new phone and him are not working out too well as it only has 1 ring tone and he can not hear it very good. We arrived and backed in to hook up to Steve’s trailer and it took some doing as his battery was dead and his electric jack wouldn’t work. We ended up hooking back up to the electric to get hooked up. Finally we were on our way and then we got stopped for the draw bridge. In all the times we have crossed this bridge we’ve never seen it raised up. Of all days. We had to wait almost 30 mins! Finally we arrived at the Armed Forces Retirement home. Instead of letting us go through an open clear gate they had us go through the front gate. Guess you can imagine what happened when you don’t have enough clearance. Hubby told the guard he didn’t think we had enough clearance we should go through the side gate and he insisted we did and he’d watch us. Yes, we got stuck! Hubby had to unhook the trailer from our truck to lower it enough. Then he had to work on his receiver and set the ball lower so that he could get the camper backed out. Finally about an hour later he had the camper unstuck and we were on our way again. Then the area that they gave us to park was so little and there were trailer’s everywhere and with our big beast barely enough room to get swung around and backed in. Another over an hour and lots of barely moving forward, going backwards and Steve and I directing hubby we had the trailer parked .. So relieved that was over. We were so frustrated and just wanted to get out i didn’t even take any pictures. There was no damage to the building but did put a scrap on Steve’s camper on the side where it caught a light pole. Of course we were all thankful that is all it was as it could have been so much worse. I bet from now on they will let the campers use the side gate .. snicker
It was after 3 PM but Steve wanted to give us a tour of his new home. We took the tour and it’s really nice and I'm so thankful he finally got in as i won’t have to worry about him near as much when were gone. They will take care of all of his needs. We were all starving so we headed a few blocks away to Kentucky Fried Chicken. It was really good and after eating we were all exhausted and we decided to say good bye for now.
We still had about a 35 min drive home and we needed to stop by Lowe’s to get a new hose so we could have water and an adapter for sewer hose. I guess one out of two isn't bad. They didn’t have one of the white hoses we like to use for our water but they did have the end hubby needed to fix our hose. They didn’t have the sewer adapter either. We got home and it was starting to get dusk as you can see by the pictures.
We finally got home and hubby fixed it so we could have water. For now we will have to leave the tanks all closed and when we dump we will have to hand move the hose to get the water to go out until we can get what we need.
Hubby tried working on the satellite but couldn’t get it and he was so frustrated he said forget it and i called and set up an appointment for someone else to come work on it. He decided to get him a good long hot shower and just relax. You won’t believe what happened to him next. He went to get on his computer and now it’s locking up. I tried working on it but i fear he had a virus on it and when he shut his computer down this morning when we left it got it good. I will try restoring it tomorrow.
So for now he is lying on the couch watching Georgia and LSU play football. At least we get several channels on regular TV for him.
It’s been 2 very long days of nothing going right and we pray tomorrow will be a better day for us. I pray the satellite guy doesn’t come while were at church in the morning. I’m going to put my phone on vibrate in case he tries to call.
I have a load of laundry going and the rest of the evening is going to be spent just relaxing as we are both mentally and physically exhausted. Were glad we are parked and pray that the next few weeks go good for us. Tomorrow is suppose to be another day with mid 70’s temps. I plan to spend our afternoon outside enjoying the sunshine.

Busy 1st Day of December!
We got up late this morning as i was moving fairly slow. Wasn’t long our 1st day of December turned into a very busy day. Our morning started off with a phone call from friends (Jimbo and Becca) .. uh oh .. car trouble. Once we got ourselves (yes me) around we headed to help them out. We were done around noon and then it was time to head over to finish packing up our friend Steve. We got that done and got home around 4 PM, long enough to let the dogs out to go potty and then we headed to Hurley, MS to see friends there.
Hugh and Audrey invited us to dinner (we were starving as we hadn't had time to even stop to eat today). We had a wonderful time together. We hadn’t seen them for a few months. Audrey (well Hugh helped, he pealed the potatoes, washed the carrots and stirred it time to time) Beef stew, Cole slaw, corn bread and bread pudding. It was wonderful! After visiting and stuffing ourselves we played a couple games of Skip Bo and before we knew it was 9 PM! We decided we better call it a night as we’d been gone all day and they are heading back to their home in SC tomorrow.
We got home and let the doggies go do their business. Lexi was not happy as she didn’t get a walk at all today. We received a phone call earlier in the day and we will be packing up and heading to Pascagoula, MS on Saturday. Tomorrow will be another busy day of moving our friend to his new home.
Today was another beautiful sun shine filled day! I'm loving this weather. We are having cool nights but once the sun comes out it turns into a beautiful day!

Exploring
We woke up to another beautiful morning. We actually got to moving a bit earlier this morning as we had several things to do on our list. Here is a picture of where we are nestled in for a short stay. I really like this corner spot as we do not have anyone in front of us. I can walk the dogs across the road and they get to potty in the woods.
First on our list was to go pay for another 3 days as we’ve got some moving to do and decided we’d stay here while doing it.
The picture above is of the ranger station. They are so nice here. This is quiet little park and we’ve really enjoyed our few days here so far.
The top picture is of the area for smaller campers, the bottom picture is for the bigger rigs like us and it makes a loop. We love being in the woods although so far no satellite for hubby.
After taking Lexi for her morning walk, it was time to head to Biloxi to meet Steve for lunch and do a few errands.
Once we got finished with Steve we knew today would be our only time to go check out where we may be heading on Saturday. So we headed over to Pascagoula, MS .
another big bridge … i don’t mind going over these bridges they are not too big.
We sure was glad we did some checking before hauling our rig over as the directions we got were not big rig friendly! We finally found the place and had to do a circle and then we stopped to see where the hookups were. Hmmm this is going to be fun.
On our way there we didn’t hit much traffic but on our way back we sure did. The shipyards let out and man on man there was lots of traffic.
We got home in time to take Lexi on an afternoon walk before dark arrived. I forgot my camera but we walked back to the primitive and picnic area and it’s very nice. I am not sure i will have time to go back and get pictures this round.
If not i will get them when we come back right before Christmas. We are planning to return before Christmas and spend Christmas here.
We got back from our walk and it was time to get some dinner together. I had chips & salsa (my mother in law made the salsa for me) and it was sooo good! Hubby had left over baked potato and pork steak with gravy.
We are spending our evening relaxing and just enjoying a quiet evening together. We are both exhausted from another busy day and the next few days are going to be even more busy.
