One year inside our new home

Wow ... It was a year ago today that we took possession of our new home! We love living in it. We love all the space we have. We are thankful to blessed with a wonderful home to live in. The large fresh water and gray/black tanks are so nice and let us dry or semi dry camp longer then our old home.

I got up this morning and what a nippy morning it is. The wind is gusting at times and we get a bit of rock. Once i got moving it was time to empty my closet out so that hubby could work on my dryer. It has stopped drying. After the dryer was diagnosed to need a new heating element. We spent time visiting with Tom and Betty who came to visit.

We had a nice visit and then i headed to check on Dorothy another RVer as she had taken a fall yesterday. Oh MY! She has a swollen nose and forehead and a black eye. She is really sore and moving very slowly today.

The rest of the evening was spent trying to stay warm. A cold front has hit us and i’m not liking it!!

another day of working

i got up this morning and headed over to finish helping put the donations in the pantry. We look at the expiration dates and if they are good we marked the items and then put them away in the pantry.

After lunch we had finished our job and so the afternoon was spent outside visiting enjoying a nice afternoon. It was cloudy but still warm enough to enjoy the out doors.

After dinner we met with the other RVer’s and had game night. It was fun and I didn’t get home until after 10 pm

working in the pantry

This morning we had devotional and i was selected to be the speaker. It’s out of my comfort zone but i made it through it. We had a wonderful devotion and our group has now dwindled down to 1 table.

After lunch we met at the pantry to put away food donations. We worked all afternoon.

My evening was spent on the couch resting a aching back

Boarding for the bottom of the rafters needs to be hung to enclose the ceiling in and siding has to be hung yet on them. Lots of work still ahead and only a month left to go.

I caught Al when he wasn’t looking. He is hard to get picture of

100_4814

The job supervisor Rudy. I caught him on the ladder as well.

Windy Monday

Wow, we had a bit of a wind storm with heavy rain around 1.30 am. My home shook and shook and the sound of the heavy rain hitting the roof made the dogs a bit nervous.

Once the storm passed we all went back to sleep. We woke up to cooler temps and the wind blew most of the day. The temps did reach up to 60 but it still felt cool to me.

I spent my morning just relaxing. I did do a few chores and my afternoon was spent visiting with a good friend Dorothy who stopped by to chat. We had tea and wonderful fellowship.

I spent the evening watching TV and just relaxing.

Another wonderful Sunday

Another wonderful service at church and then it was on to lunch at my favorite place. Yep Chinese!! Then a dreaded trip to Wal-mart. Wow $112! Ughhh … More and more i get to where i dread going there. Prices of diesel, food and everything is on the rise yet my income stays the same?

Arrived home in time to put away the few things i got for that much money. Shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, food items and so on.

Then it was time for Chapel service and it was nice. Visited a bit afterwards, then it was back home to finally rest for the day.

A Sad Day, Yet A Day of Friendships

100_4803

The carports are coming along nicely. As you can see .. yes 2 dedicated workers on their day off.

I got up this morning and said good bye to several of the RVer’s. Benny and Carol were the first to leave. We are both sad to see them go. They are an amazing couple and the guys hit it off and so did we ladies. We have really been blessed to have made such wonderful friendships this year. See how lonely it is behind us?

100_4808

Bud and Pam finally got the wiring fixed on their rig and around 11 am they pulled out. They were the last to leave. It was hard saying good bye to another couple that are very special to us. Another lonely place with their motor home gone.

100_4807

The rest of my day was spent visiting here and there with the other rver’s.

We were invited to dinner at Audrey's who is a worker here at the home. She invited Rudy, Elaine, Andrew, Bill and Pauline as well. Ms Audrey is an amazing cook and we had a delicious Mexican meal. It was so good and wonderful fellowship.

100_4806

It’s been a nice day, no sunshine but the temps have been good. See my door is open again today!!

100_4805

This AJ, Ms. Audrey’s puppy. He was waiting to greet us. He is such a cutie.

Later on it was more fellowship and finally around 8.30 pm we got home. It’s been a sad day saying good bye to blessed friends we love, yet a great day in enjoying the fellowship of others we love.

Hope you all had a blessed day
