A Beautiful Sunday

Got up and went to church and it was a nice church service. After church we went out to eat with other RVer’s. We went to the Chinese place. It was just as good as it was last year.

We came home and took a walk to see the little pigs. Then momma decided it was time to feed them. So we left them to their snack time.

When we were walking to see the little pigs this horse followed us. It walked beside me like it was my friend. When we went in the pigs pen it must of got tired of waiting and so i snapped a picture as we were leaving. I love seeing the animals. Makes me remember all the wonderful memories of when we lived on our farm.

i spent the rest of my afternoon basking in the sun with other RVer’s. We watched one of the guys wash his truck and of course we ladies had to supervise.

These rooms in the rock house are full of donated things that need to be sorted and gotten ready for the yearly yard sale. As you can see, lots of work here to do. I believe the yard sale date is toward the end of March.

As you can see, lots of RV’s and the picture below is of the back side of our rig. I love it that we don’t have anyone right behind us or in front of us. I love my space.

Today was another beautiful 70’s degree weather and I'm so enjoying all the sunshine!! The weather this week is suppose to be 70’s all week long. I’m so excited. Maybe now i can work on my sun tan? I think they are predicting some rain showers toward the end of the week. Hopefully this week i can get back to walking and lose a few pounds.

Beautiful Saturday

I slept in today! I guess the warmth of the sunshine coming in my window and all made me sleepy. It was after 9 am before i was out of bed! Then i have my normal morning routine of taking my time getting up and about. So it was almost lunch time before i was dressed.

We decided to run into town and see about getting hubby a new coat. Yes, the silly man went and caught his on fire and burnt the entire side out of it. Then of course who can pass wal-mart. Actually we needed a new filter for our water system, hubby got him some new sunglasses, coffee and a few other items. Yep, another $55 bucks donated to Wal-mart .. ughhhh .. since we were in town i told hubby i wasn’t cooking so we decided to run by McD’s and grab some of their $1 Mcdoubles and fries. That was lunch and supper.

Then we came home and hubby took a nap and i spent the afternoon outside visiting with friends in the nice warm Sunshine. It got to 66 degrees today!

Once the sun started to go down it was time to head back inside and the rest of the evening was spent watching the tube. Actually i was in back in bed by 8.30 pm. That sunshine sure makes me sleepy. hehe

Outing with the Ladies

After being held up inside hibernating because the past 2 days we’ve had severe cold weather! It finally warmed up a bit. Every other Friday the ladies plan a day of outing.

Today we went Fairfield, toured a flea market that wasn’t impressive at all. Then we went to some of the local shops. I found a great quilt shop and got me some frog material that i have been looking for. It’s perfect for the baby quilt i’m making. Now if i just get busy and get it finished.

Then we had lunch at a small place called “Something Different” It was a little diner and the food was really good. I had a marinated chicken sandwich and it was delicious.

We got home and then it was time for dinner and after dinner all the RVer’s got together for a night of games and fellowship. It was a great day but I'm exhausted and my back is hurting from too much fun.

Sorry i forgot to take my camera so no pictures. I know .. I know .. i need to get me a pocket camera so i can keep it in my purse cuz I'm horrible at remembering to grab mine.

Freezing rain, Sleet, Wind!

I woke up to the sound of something hitting the top of the roof and it wasn’t rain! Yep sleet!

It went from sleet to rain that froze and then back to sleet. See the roof and ground has sleet.

The wind is blowing and gusting at times. Since we are on a corner we get the wind a bit more. So even with 2 heaters the furnace is still running off and on which is good because it keeps the underneath from freezing.

It’s getting colder instead of warmer! One of the RVer’s water is frozen solid. He came to check on us. So far ours is okay, hubby is going out to unhook the hose so that it doesn’t freeze. I had the washer going so i think that is why our water is okay because I've used and kept the water moving.

For me it’s a day of staying inside in bed. I got up and my back was hurting. Yep ole man winter and my back do not get along. So i took a pain pill turned up the heating pads and back to bed it was. The rest of my day will be spent between the couch and bed.

We are suppose to have another cold day tomorrow and then temps are to be in the 70’s … I'm so ready!!

A day of things to do

I got up and got laundry going and waited for the satellite guy to arrive. We have satellite but our local channels are not working yet .. hmmm They said it could take 24 hours. They wouldn’t use our tripod setup .. this is the first time we have been refused that. Luckily for us there was a pole behind our camper that is permanent and was able to use it to install and get it going. I do have my favorite channels .. Lifetime and Hallmark!

Here we are nestled in our nice comfy spot. After the satellite guy left I needed to run into town to get our propane tank filled. One is empty and tomorrow they are predicting freezing wintery mix. I picked up a few things at Wal-mart … $60!! It’s shocking how fast and little you can get for that much money. Bread, milk, butter, cereal, tea, sweetener, pudding, snack cakes, frozen pizza, pot pies and etc were needed. We are all set if the weather gets bad tomorrow as they are predicting.

I took a picture of the carport, yesterday it didn’t have any sheeting or shingles on it and today the roof is finished.

After dinner i called Dish .. still no local channels and so after finally getting it resolved we have local channels.

Day of cleaning and visiting with a friend

Monday was spent cleaning up from the weekend and trying to get our home setup. I have tons of laundry so several loads were done and many more to go. I also spent several hours with a friend I hadn’t seen in several months and we had a wonderful time visiting. It was great to get caught up on each other’s lives.

A Beautiful Texas Day

We had a beautiful day here in Texas. We got up and finished getting setup. Several hrs were spent trying to get our satellite setup but it wouldn’t work. So a tech guy is coming Tuesday to do the installation. We set up my antenna for our cell phone and mifi for those just in case days. Last year sometimes our cell phone worked and sometimes it didn’t.

Hubby was able to find the local station that has the super bowl on it. Yes, i have a happy camper. I went to children’s church tonight and enjoyed seeing all the kids. We’ve had lots of hugs and welcomes.

I took Lexi on a walk as i am still trying to get back in shape. I forgot how bad the sand burs are here in Texas .. Ughhh the dog get’s them in their paws and then i get them in my feet!

We are parked on a nice concrete pad and the dogs have plenty of open space to explore and potty.
