Marilyn doing a solo, which was excellent. She is our own Marilyn Monroe. She is a wonderful person and lives her life for Jesus Christ.

We had an outstanding speaker this morning. Pastor Michael Lynn is from First Assembly of God in Robertsdale, AL. It was an awesome service.

Then it was time to head to the cookout.

PA030054 PA030055

It was a bit on the cool side but we still had a great cookout. We had grilled Kielbasa on a bun, tator tots, Chips, mixed vegetables, sauerkraut and cookies for dessert, with your choice of drink. The staff always serve us, it’s their way of giving back to us for all we do through out the year.

Then it was back home to get ready for tonight’s service.

PA030038

Evening services featured the Vagle Brothers, they are cousins to our own Wes and Nancy Vagle. We really enjoyed them and they are a very good Christian group.

After services we stayed and chatted some more with friends and then it was time to head home to rest for another busy day. Convention is such an exciting time.

Convention Kick Off

100_3443Well today is the convention kick off. We got up early and went to the breakfast pot luck, which started at 7.30 am!

100_3444

I made sausage biscuits. Our hostess were Tommy & Dianne, Leon & Betty.

I didn’t get a picture of Dianne by herself she is the lady the red arrow is pointing at.

100_3445 - 1 It rained but we all made the best of it. Thanks to the awnings and Dean for getting his gazebo for us to stand under.

100_3447

This is Dean & Mary, we met them this year and now they are good friends of ours. They are a wonderful couple. It was a pleasure getting to know them.

100_3446

As you can see in this photo, some still wore the summer attire, some had rain coats and some their winter coats.

Lots of great food and the fellowship was awesome! Then it was back home to fix my next dish which was a bacon, ranch pasta salad. The annual fish fry pot luck started at noon

PA020038 This is our hostess for the annual fish fry pot luck. Cliff and Georgia whom are very dear to us. They have taken us under their wings and been a wonderful mentor to us.

Then it was back home to clean up, get a quick nap before it was time to go get the grandkids. Today is our oldest son wedding anniversary so we are watching the grandkids. Happy Anniversary Tyson and Heather .. love ya!!

We went and picked up our precious grandkids and spent a wonderful evening with them. Around 7.30 pm we went up and registered for convention. Visited with more people and then returned home to wait for our son to come pick up the kids.

After the kids left, it was time to head to bed. I’m exhausted from a fun filled day. Tomorrow convention starts and the campgrounds are packed with lots of rigs!

The excitement and fun has started!!

Wow, It’s October!

It’s hard to believe today is October 1st! Where has the summer gone?

Today was spent at another dentist appointment and a bit of shopping. This root canal is finally done! 1 more to go but that doesn’t start for a few weeks.

We enjoyed a late afternoon lunch at Golden Corral. I purchased a few things to decorate my home for fall. I love the fall time of year. I purchased a table cloth, table runner for my little table and pot holder and hand towel.

When we got home several more rigs had arrived and we spent the evening playing games with friends.

A Beautiful Day!

100_3441

I am feeling better but still taking it easy. It’s a beautiful day. I took a picture of our campsite. As you can see, the weather is perfect to have the windows and doors open! Several more rigs pulled in yesterday and lots more to come. Convention is getting closer and i’m so excited about seeing friends i haven’t seen in a year or 2!

Still under the weather

I’m still a bit under the weather and have called the doctor. I will be having a sonogram on Friday.

I did end up doing some laundry today as it was piling up and i was running out of needed items. Our son Tyson came for lunch and we had a nice short visit with him. Then later that evening i took the bike and went visiting. It was a nice evening.

A Cold Day!

I got up this morning and I wasn’t feeling too good. So i spent most of the morning just being lazy and laying around. It’s very cool and the wind is blowing making the cool temps even more miserable.

100_3436 100_3437

Later in the afternoon hubby decided to put new antenna up for my mifi. I went from 1-2 bars to 5 bars! It works great!

100_3438 100_3439

Hubby purchased some plumbing pipe and built me a pole that can be taken apart and stored when we are in travel mode. I purchased a Wilson dual-Band mirror mount cell phone antenna, wilson signal boost hdsolo mobile dual band amplifier and an extra 20 foot cable, the amplifier also came with an wilson ultra slim antenna with FME Female connector.

100_3442

The outside antenna connectors to the booster and then the ultra antenna connects to the other end of the booster and then you just lay or in my case rubber band the mifi to slim antenna and it works great.

Friends of mine said they were able to use this same setup while they were parked in the mountains and all over in remote areas. I’m looking forward to seeing how well this set up works for me.

I love having my own wireless internet in my home and not having to drive places to find it.

Later that evening our friend Wanda had a fire at her camper and several other friends joined us and we had nice evening visiting with friends and enjoying the campfire.

More Plumbing

We got up early and headed to our son Tyson’s home. Hopefully today will be the last of the plumbing job.

I spent my time entertaining grandchildren. We were there all day and most of the evening and what an exhausting day. A fun day of spending time with family but exhausting. We stopped by Wal-mart and got some fried chicken for dinner, neither of us felt like cooking. On the way home our son called and said that the hot water doesn’t work in the tub .. Ughhh

Hubby gave our son some suggestions to try in the morning and if not it looks to be another trip to Tyson’s house.

I took a shower and was in bed by a little after 9 pm.
