Happy Independence Day!

Image may contain: text

My PA didn’t take the day off, so she showed up and got me showered, we took mine & dogs walk.  Then we came back did my therapy, body massage and then it was back to bed as I’m still wore out from Saturday.

It was a hot, humid day and one that my allergies just didn’t like.  The AC’s have been running none stop lately, my poor electric bill.

Today is more than just a holiday for cooks outs, or whatever you do to celebrate.  It’s a day to remember the true reason of this day in history America received her independence which means Freedom of devotion to God Almighty.  America was built on the foundation of being a Godly nation, regardless what anyone may tell you.  It’s why America flourished & became the powerful nation she did, because of God’s blessings, not man’s doing.

Declaration of Independence, a statement explaining this decision, which had been prepared by a Committee of Five, with Thomas Jefferson as its principal author. Congress debated and revised the wording of the Declaration, finally approving it two days later on July 4. A day earlier, John Adams had written to his wife Abigail:

The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.[7]

Adams's prediction was off by two days. From the outset, Americans celebrated independence on July 4, the date shown on the much-publicized Declaration of Independence, rather than on July 2, the date the resolution of independence was approved in a closed session of Congress

So I ask throughout this holiday, please don’t lose site as to why we truly celebrate this holiday.  America received her freedom of liberties & most importantly our freedom to praise the Almighty God whom has blessed us.  I fear if our nation doesn’t repent of the sins we seem to accept due to political correctness we in return are destroying our nation.  America was founded as a Godly nation.

It’s Hot!

My PA arrived to me just getting my first cup of coffee.  Grandson Toby was already awake and biting at the bits for Grammy to get her shower so we could walk the dogs.

I love these morning reminders on my FB pages, they remind that regardless what the day holds.  I’m blessed God has let me wake up to another day.  Health issue or not, it’s still a blessing. From my home to yours …

After walking the dogs, I worked in my flowers just a bit as it was already getting steamy hot outside and my allergies were screaming and tonight is the parade.  So it was back to bed to rest up for tonight.

I slept most the afternoon, as yesterday activities wore me out more than I realized.  Oldest son stopped by with grandkids to go to the parade but I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t even get enough strength to sit up in bed.  I hated to skip the parade as I love them but my body just wasn’t able.

I ended up sleeping until 7.45 pm, watched some news and the son brought the grandkids back to spend the night with Grammy.  Used to be I kept them, now they babysit for Grammy.

Grandson is tucked away in bed and now it’s time for the Grand daughter to tuck this Grammy in as well.  Sweet dreams from my home to yours ….

Good music & fire works

Image may contain: dog

Tobe man spent the night, but it was late by time he got here and it wasn’t long he was fast asleep.  Hailey went home with her mom this morning Toby stayed and so it was a morning spent with Grammy & her little Tobe man, we walked the dogs, played outside, he even helped Grammy in her flowers.  His mom came & picked him up after lunch (Grammy wears out fast) Then Grammy went to bed to take a long nap!

Later on Princess Hailey showed up and we spent some time together before we headed down to the park (I rode my wheels, she walked) to listen to some Christian music (The chosen ones) and then my son, grandson, hubby, sister & her kids/grandkids joined us for fireworks.

Grandkids all sitting in front of us old people trying to get a closer look at the fire works display.  It’s great seeing 2nd cousins playing & enjoying time together just like their parents all did.  Love family time

Lacey is my service dog, she goes most places with me.  At first she didn’t seem to mind the fire works and liked watching the colors but then the big boom booms started & she wasn’t thrilled at all.

It was a great day/night but I’m exhausted & ready to call it a night!

Hello July

No automatic alt text available.

Wow, how time flies?  It doesn’t seem like July should be here already?

Image may contain: flower and text

Spring flew by and now Summer seems to be doing the same!  Although when you don’t feel well and sleep more time than not the days/nights seem to just run into each other.  It just doesn’t take much to exhaust me these days.  A needed trip to Wal-mart was accomplished and then back home to rest.

Hailey (granddaughter) came to spend the night.  It was fun having some Grammy/Princess time.

I enjoy this holiday weekend, when the kids were little it usually involved camping with family & friends. Lots of cookouts, swimming, & just enjoying time spent together. Now days it seems everyone is so busy and most work.  Doesn’t seem to be family time anymore.  I miss the family get together but even when you plan them months ahead, seems no one shows up anymore.  So I cherish every moment I get to spend with my family.

I pray you all have a safe, happy 4th of July week & may God be apart of it all

Goodbye June!

Last day of June? Where has it gone?  I can’t believe how fast Spring/Summer is going.  Winter seems to drag on forever now that I’m home bound and not able to travel.  I enjoy Spring/Summer/Fall but I dread winter.

Image may contain: text

My day was spent with my PA’s, today I had them both in one day as needing a shower 4 days this week was a must due to incontinence issues & I’m insecure with getting undressed, into the tub.  My shower girl also walks me & the dogs since she is younger.  My other PA is older and has knee issues so she does my laundry, does deep cleaning, helps me get outside to work in my flowers.  It works out great as each has her own thing she does for me.  It’s been a blessing having the girls come & help me.  Plus it’s took a huge burden off the family as it gives them time that they don’t have to make sure someone is with me.  Although now that my brother is living several blocks away since his house fire, it’s a bit harder because if anyone was running late or couldn’t get back before the girls left my brother or sister in law were just across the street.

I so miss traveling, blogging & sharing new adventures but there are days that go by that all I have to blog about is things that are better left unsaid … trust me, you don’t want to know what my night, day or evening has been like.

So on this last evening of June 2017, I say this to you all …

Happy Wednesday!

It’s a beautiful morning!  The sun is shining and I woke up feeling pretty decent.  Last week was a ruff week of not feeling well but today is a new day!
