Sawgrass Recreational Park

We got up this morning and headed to get some breakfast.  We ended up at Dunkin Donuts.  Yep i was a bad girl and had a glazed donut and it was so good.  YES, i know how many calories was in it.  I know i will pay for it tomorrow.

After eating breakfast we headed over to Sawgrass Recreation Park.  Were taking an Airboat ride through the Everglades.

We arrived got our tickets and waited until they called us for our boat.

 

We got this boat with the back rest.  It had wonderful seats.  One advantage to having a disability. 

We loaded our boat and was on our way.  Through the wetlands we headed.

We stopped along our way and this fellow started heading toward us for a hand out.

Paul kept spinning the boat around so we could get pictures and see the big guy.

We really enjoyed our boat ride and would have liked it to have been a bit longer.

   

I was surprised it was a pretty smooth ride. 

This is our Captain Paul, he did a great job of driving us and making sure that we took it easy.  One time we had to turn sideways and the boat jumped a bit but he got it under control right away to protect my back. 

 

Several fellows were hiding in the water.

We met several other boats .. you see how their seats sat down inside and i think i would of had some trouble getting in and out.  As well i don not think the ride would of been near as comfortable for me. 

     

After our boat ride we toured the exhibits.

Oh My we were greeted by snakes!!

These things like to eat warm blooded creatures.

 

Past the snakes were one of my favorite reptiles .. YESSS .. i found some turtles!!

   

Then i found this guy hanging out.  I thought he was a neat looking and i admired him from a safe distances.

This little cutie was a big excitement and yes i just had to cuddle with it. 

 

Please honey can i take it home just for a little while??  YES your right, it would love my babies as a snack .. guess we’ll leave it here.

I had to really work to get a picture of this lil guy.  He was hiding under a board.  Yes, i had to stand on my head .. hehe

 

A late lunch early dinner what ever you call it was On The Border Mexican.  I had a wonderful taco soup, enchilada chicken, refried beans and Mexican rice. 

Another wonderful day in warm Miami, Florida.

RVer’s Birthday’s

Today was another busy day.  I know what day isn’t busy for me lately.  Bev keeps me entertained and going.  At lunch time she dropped by and wanted me to ride over to the one of the many malls so she could get her hair cut at Penney’s.  We got back just in time to get ready for the birthday potluck.

Today is RVer Mark’s birthday (top picture with his lovely wife Dixie) Mark is the big 67 and Sunday is Jim’s big 75 (Bottom picture and his lovely wife Margie)

We all cooked our own meat on the grills or whatever you wanted to do.  Then everyone brought a side dish and both the gals of the birthday guys brought a cake for each one.

 

Yes i know we seem to always be eating .. isn’t that what RVer’s do best?

 

We had some good food and no one left hungry.

 

Of course after eating we had to do some great story telling .. of course that was the men and not the women.  Dessert was an (Dixie) angel food cake, strawberries with a wonderful icing.  (Margie) made a 30 day cake which i hadn’t had in years and it was so good.  Both dessert’s were awesome and yes i had to try them both! 

  

Soon it was time to call it a night and everyone retired to their own homes.  It’s great to be able to celebrate with good friends..  The weather today was very nice .. around 84 degrees! 

What have you been doing?

The weather has been wonderful all week long!  Temps have been in the low 80’s.  I caught this fellow enjoying the warmth.

  

My flowers are growing so much and this one is absolutely beautiful blooming.  The other side is red and it’s full of buds as well.  Both my rose bushes has blooms on them.

The RVer’s here get together at 10 AM and 3 PM and so the day really goes fast.  I really don’t seem to get anything done in between.  This week I haven’t really had much to blog about.  Monday was cleaning day, Tuesday morning we took our truck over to the Ford dealership to get it worked on.  Dixie picked us up and brought us back as we have to leave it.  That afternoon i went to Goodwill and Walgreens with Bev.  Today Bev took me to Wal-mart for a  needed trip to Wal-mart for some needed supplies like TP, Paper towels, dish soap and of course hubby had to have his ice cream :)

We went out to dinner tonight at Rack’s for their $5 hamburgers and it was awesome.  One of the best burgers I've ever eaten out.  It was an 8 oz burger.  We sat outside on the deck and watched the big yachts go through.  Rack’s sits along the intercostal waterway.  It was a beautiful evening to sit outside and enjoy our dinner.   I am so enjoying our wonderful warm winter. 

Trinity Church

I haven’t really shown you pictures of the Church we are attending.  It’s a huge church with around 5,000 members.

This is the front of the church, they also have a day care at this facility.  This is the North Campus, they also have a South Campus with a daycare center as well.

Here is our side of the entrance.  We are parked on this side of the church.

in the foyer there is this beautiful water fountain but it’s not going right now.

  

The connect is also in the foyer.  This is where people come when they need help.  This church has a very large community outreach program.  You can even sign up for food stamps here.

there are 3 sections of the sanctuary which I'm guessing holds 700 people and it’s packed all services

 

Trinity has around 5,000 members, every Friday at 1 PM the prayer line is open for anyone to call in and asked for help or prayer.

 

They have a huge parking lot, these pictures show the parking lot on our side of the church.  There is another one on the other side just as huge.

The park lot is about the size of a football field, walking 4 times around it is equal to a mile.  Yes, this is where the ladies get their morning workout in at.

We’ve really enjoyed being here.  The RVer’s here are awesome and we have renewed some old friendships and made some new ones.

A Day of absolutely nothing!!

We slept in this morning and then we lounged around inside.  It feels so good to do absolutely nothing!!  We are both exhausted from our busy lifestyle.   Later on a needed trip to Wal-mart.  The dogs were completely out of food and they were not happy.  Ughhh $37 worth of stuff.

We came home and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening doing the same thing.  I did go out for a  bit and visit with Jan and Dee.  Then it was back inside for more medication on my sunburn.  YESSSS, it’s stinging today.  My allergies are wild today, i’ve had a sore throat and my ears hurt.  Hubby is sick as well.  His kidney’s are hurting, running a fever and all .. perfect day to do nothing.  We did make some Potato Soup to eat on since neither of us felt the best.

Temps were in the high 80’s today so it was a good day to stay inside
