Yes, the grandkids were up early. Toby came upstairs and said .. Grandma it’s not dark anymore, time to get up and play .. how precious is that? So Grammy got up and we let sissy and Papa sleep in.
The sun came out and the kids were itching to get outside as soon as it was warm enough for Papa to take them for a walk in the woods. Grandma enjoyed some quiet time :)) Toby would slide down the slide and then he’d walk back up it until he slipped and fell and hurt his chin. Of course Grammy kissed it and made it better and then we went on to play on something else.
Hailey has grown so much .. i love this picture of her
Grandma got to take the kids to the park while Papa rested. It’s amazing how a few years change. Hailey didn’t use to be able to do the monkey bars by herself, we would have to hold her up. Now she is a big girl and can do them all by herself. Way to go sis!!
Toby can swing on the chain and he thinks he is big like sissy.
Hailey likes the bars .. Toby likes to swing .. At first he waited for me to push him
But he got bored of sitting still so he had to change the way he swung
Grammy let them take their shoes and socks off and enjoy the sand
It was cute because we pretended we were on the beach. Hailey told me to think of us all playing on our beach while I'm gone this winter. We will miss our lil precious jewels.
We’ve watched cartoons, ate lots of junk food, rode bikes, played in the rocks, taken walks and enjoyed tickle time.
It was time to get all the kids stuff together and head to Grandma’s (hubby’s mom) house for dinner. We are going to help eat up her left overs. We had a good last visit and said so long ... It’s always a sad times as the tears are always flowing.
We came home, showered and it wasn’t long it was time to head to bed for a busy day tomorrow.
Happy Summer!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Carlinville, IL
Today is a very special day. We are spending Thanksgiving with our family. We haven’t done this for several years.
Remember today is not only about spending time with family, eating too much wonderful food, but it’s also about being thankful for all your blessings.
Can you think of some things that you are thankful for? Here are some thing that I am thankful for …
free to worship and proclaim my faith and love for the Pilot of my life .. Jesus Christ
for my wonderful husband .. God blessed me and to be honest he gave me a wonderful man that i am not deserving of most of the time.
for my family and friends
for my health .. even though i still have health issues .. i am so thankful for the miracle i have received .. after years of being bed ridden i am able to get out of bed, sit up, walk, travel and enjoy life once again.
for my wonderful home
for all the little things in life that i have
I have learned to accept each day as it comes, if it’s a good day .. wonderful, if it’s a bad day then i know that i can get through it and a good day is around the corner .. I have a plaque on my wall and i read it daily .. it says ..
God grant me the Serenity to accept the things i cannot change,
Courage to change the things i can
and the Wisdom to know the difference.
I could have slept in this morning but i was awake by 7.30 AM .. hmm i think my grand kids have gotten Grandma on a schedule getting up early .. hmm
Around 10 AM we were on our way to hubby’s mom to spend Thanksgiving with family. (Can you believe i took my camera but forgot to get pictures) :((
We had Turkey and all the traditional things that go with it. My mother in law did a great job .. thanks mom. We spent the afternoon enjoying the kids and each other. Finally it was time to say good bye and then we stopped and picked up the Grandkids bags as they came home with us to spend the night at Papa and Grandma’s.
We spent the evening enjoying being grandparents. I close tonight blog by

Another Day with Grand kids
We were awaken early this morning with the arrival of the grand kids. It was another fun filled day enjoying spending time with our grand kids. We are really blessed and thankful to have this time with them. It’s hard to believe how fast our week is going by.
We spent the day playing with toys, watching cartoons, going to the park and just enjoying our time together. Their dad arrived around 5 PM to get them and then we made a quick trip to Wal-mart to stock up on junk food for tomorrow night and Friday.
We are going to spend Thanksgiving with our family and the grand kids will be coming home with us to spend the night and sometime on Friday their parents will pick them up and it will be our last time together until after winter.
Tonight is going to be an evening of relaxing and resting up for tomorrow. We are really blessed and thankful to live the lifestyle that we do. We are blessed to have our family and we are thankful to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior for all he has given us.
Wishing you all a blessed day and

Nestled in
The rain has arrived. It started raining during the night and it was a ruff night for me. I went to bed around 9.30 PM and was back around 11 PM with my back and legs hurting. I knew the rain was on the way.
I slept in this morning since we didn’t have any grands and this is what I saw when i let the dogs out to go potty.
Yep water everywhere, signs of winter have appeared. The leaves are gone on most of the trees and you can feel it in the air that Mr. Winter is near by. This weather is meant to nestle inside with a warm blanket. In fact hubby and i have enjoyed our day rest and relaxation and doing absolutely nothing!
It’s nice and peaceful here as there is no one around. The campers left are stored here for the winter. We are the only ones here. The dogs are enjoying having the park all to themselves. They can run and play free of a leash and potty where ever they want.
They just are not enjoying the rain ..It’s been pretty chilly here, the sun has been nowhere to be found since we arrived and the sky is dreary and filled with rain. It’s going to be another foggy night.
As you can see we are nestled in for a short stay until after Thanksgiving. Our departure date is set for Sunday Nov 27. So far we are doing well on water. We have electric and sewer here but no water. We have filled our 5 gal jug at our son house the other night.
The plans right now are were heading to Mississippi for the month of December and then Jan- March will be spent in Florida looking for warmth. Of course as RVer’s our plans are always written in Jell-o and Esp since diesel is $3.99 a gal right now .. ouch!!

Bird Watching
Our LiL Man arrived this morning and we spent the day watching Dora, Sponge Bob and playing with tractors and trucks. Later in the afternoon we seen several birds so LiL Man and Papa put my bird feeder out and it wasn’t long before we were able to watch the birds.
The birds were happy to get some feed. We had fun watching them. It was too chilly to go outside very long so we just played lazy and enjoyed our grandson.
Tonight is really chilly, drizzling rain and foggy out. It’s a great night to stay inside and snuggle under a warm blanket.

Day of Family
The Grands were up early so you know what that means .. yep Grandma was too. We spent the morning playing and enjoying time with our lil man and princess. Then it was time to get dressed and head to Carrollton to see more family.
This is my great niece Cayley .. isn’t she a lil doll? This is my sister Patty grand daughter. She is 6 months old.
Here i am holding my big brother Larry so we can get a family picture .. yes he is like me .. despises his picture taken.
My sister Patty fixed lunch for us all .. she made Chili, Hot dogs, and my favorite Potatoe soup .. it was so good .. Thanks sis .. Hubby is enjoying a bowl of Chili.
Here is another older sis Cheryl with her grandson and my dad .. 3 generations here
My sister Patty (blue shirt), me and our dad visiting
Here is some of my siblings L to R Cheryl holding her grandson, Jimmy, Dad, Me, Larry, Patty holding her grand daughter and my oldest brother Ronnie. What a crazy bunch and yes we always have a great time when were together. There are several siblings missing as they couldn’t make it .. we missed them.
After an afternoon of family it was time to head to our son Tyson house and help the grands put up their Christmas tree. We had a great evening spending time with his family and Tyson made us spaghetti for dinner and it was great .. thanks Tyson
Finally after 8 pm and a long fun filled day it was time to head home. We still had almost an hour drive home. We got home and before long it was time for bed. What a great day we’ve had and tomorrow will be more fun as our Grandson Toby is spending the day with us while his sissy is in school.

Lots of Love, Hugs and Kisses
The grandkids arrived early and so it was Papa and grandma time .. it was a nippy morning so we had to wait for it to warm up a bit before playing outside. Of course the kids find all kinds of things to do
The love playing on the steps and of course we had to get lots of hugs and kisses in. We got out their toys and spent our morning enjoying our precious jewels.
Finally it warmed up enough that Papa could stand to go outside with them and they went to the park and went down to the Lake. No walking in the woods as it’s deer season.
Later in the afternoon we ran into town to Wal-mart for a tire tube, they were out so we headed to Ace Hardware and they had one. Hailey got a thorn in her tire and ruined her tube so Papa to the rescue. Of course we had to swing by McD’s and get something to eat.
Toby was inspector and was making sure Papa put sissy tire back on correctly.
Finally the bike was finished and it was time to ride and play before it got too cold and dark.
After it got too cold out it was time to come inside and get warmed up with some hot chocolate. Of course we had to play some more. It was so much fun watching the kids try and tickle Papa and of course Papa would in turn tickle them. Toby our lil man is so ticklish it’s fun watching him.
We’ve ate lots of candy, drank lots of Pepsi and had a wonderful time making precious memories. Around 9 PM they were getting tired so it was shower time and get ready for bed. Grandma pulled the couch out and we put Thomas the Train in the DVD player and before long our lil man was sound asleep. He’s had a fun day with Grandma and Papa. It wasn’t much longer and Hailey was sound asleep and it was time for Grandma and Papa to hit the hay as well. The lil feet will be up early.
We enjoy spending time with our lil precious jewels and even though were surviving the cold .. a day filled with love, hugs and kisses is always worth it. It’s been a wonderful fun filled day and I'm so thankful for beautiful grandchildren.
