Illinois bound

We got up this morning and got things around. We were sitting in the parking lot of the Big Store to get our tires on the 5th wheel. Doug the guy doing the work didn’t arrive until around 9 am and to top it off it’s raining. Finally around 11 am all the work was done and we were on our way. Luckily for us it wasn’t a hard rain and it stopped about Houston, Mo.

We arrived in Illinois around 4 pm and starting getting things setup. I went to dinner at the dining hall, hubby stayed home and finished getting his work done.

I spent several hours seeing friends and catching up on what they have been doing. I love convention time and seeing friends and making new ones. It’s good to be back.

Departure still unknown

It’s September! The summer has went by really fast. It has finally cooled down to wonderful temps! We checked on the truck tires and they still are not in so until they arrive we do not have a departure date. Were basically in limbo until we can get the truck and trailer tires on.

We are getting ready for the big holiday weekend. At first we thought it might be a slow one but today the rigs are rolling in.

We went into town today and did some grocery shopping and had lunch at Ryan's. On the way home it started raining. It rained the rest of the evening. That is okay because it's been very dry here and we are need of some rain.

Other then not really much happening .. just some relaxation time .. hope you all have a safe and wonderful labor day weekend

Where am I?

I haven’t posted in a week. The reason being not really much happening. It’s been very quite and slow at the ranch. Wednesday we took the truck in for a oil change and to have the front end aligned. All we needed was the Oil change and fuel filters replaced. Wow $245 bucks poorer. .. a diesel is much higher then a gas but hubby is very happy with the new truck.

We also went grocery shopping and out to eat . I had been wanting Chinese food for some time but hubby hasn’t been able to enjoy it so neither have I. I was so disappointed when we did go. What little food they had was good, but it just isn’t what I'm use to.

So today we spent $546 for camper tires which will be put on in a few weeks. The truck tires are still not in yet. So at least i get to hold that money a bit longer. Ughhh tires have been a major expense this year for us. But we discussed it and even though our camper and truck both seem to be fine, we decided to get new ones and not take the chance of a blow up and tearing up something or worse …

We decided it would be a good day to take a road trip to Mountain Home Arkansas to Home Depot and Lowe’s. We asked where a good Chinese Buffet was and was given direction. I also asked Tom Tom where one was. Can you believe Tom Tom sent us to the same place .. just different names. The Chinese Buffet was excellent and a very large variety of what we like. It was wonderful. Plus i got to see the beautiful view of the Norfork Lake!

We moved to a new campsite

The kids are gone and life is getting back to normal. My home is pretty much back to it’s normal shape. I am feeling much better and after several days of relaxation.

Next week our 30 days are up to move to a new campground so we decided to move to a 60 day pad in the same campground for the holiday weekend. I prefer being in Lonesome Pines Campground. We will not have to move again until our departure date.

100_3408 We have to be back in Illinois by September 17 th for a dentist appt. Convention is the beginning of Oct and then we will know where we will be spending the winter. We will leave before Nov 1st. Right now destination is unknown .. wow what a wonderful life.

I love being able to move my home and never knowing for sure what kind of surprise is around the corner where i will be holding up the wheels at.

Road trip taking to Illinois

We got up and it was time to Hailey and Tyson up so that we can take them home. On our way home Hailey wanted to stop and eat at Ryans again. So we stopped for lunch and then made the long drive back. We dropped the kids off and stopped and seen Gabe and Kelsey but our plans to spend the night and head to the cardinal game on Wednesday came to an end. I haven’t been feeling good the past few days with my allergies and i went into an asthma attack.

So 9 pm after finally getting where i could breath again we decided to head back home where i could rest in my own bed and my own house and get away from what ever is in the air. I noticed a difference when we got in St. Louis and by the time we were in Illinois i really noticed. Then at Gabe’s house someone was burning something and that threw me into a full blown asthma attack.

We left home this morning around 10 am and got back home around 2.30 am.

Kids Enjoying their vacation

The kids have really been enjoying their vacation here at the ranch. So has mom and dad. It’s been great having my family spend time together. It’s been awhile since we’ve done that.

Gabe, Kelsey, Tyson and Hailey have had a blast. The big kids have enjoyed going riding some of the more risky trails while grandma and papa take Hailey swimming. Oh and don’t let me forget playing in the mud.

Tyson and Hailey spent some time crawdad hunting and then fishing, swimming and ATV riding.

Tonight Gabe and Kelsey are heading back home as they both have to return to work on Monday. It’s hard to believe how fast their 10 days went here.
