2nd Day of Rummage Sale

I got up early again today and was over to the Rock House by 8 am for the 2nd day of the rummage sale.

The carports are looking better each day.

I came home after another exhausting day. So far we have sold about $1100 worth of stuff in 2 days for the home. Tomorrow is the last day but i’m not sure i’m working. My MS has me exhausted. I am not sure how the make over is going as i haven’t seen either of the homes yet. No one has, tomorrow is the big unveiling.

I came home and made baked potatoes and bbq meat. Yep a easy dinner .. one that i could just throw everything in the oven and let it cook. The rest of my night was spent curled up on the couch resting!!!

Happy St. Patty’s Day

Everyone is planting flowers and they are so beautiful .. spring is in the air.

I got up early and had to be at the rock house by 8 am for the rummage sale! I worked all day at the sale. I got to sit and take money. It’s been a long day and there are so many people on the grounds. We had a $600 day! It’s wonderful to know that we are able to make some money for the home. They sure can use it.

I came home and hamburgers were made for dinner and the evening was spent relaxing as I'm exhausted!!

getting ready for a Make Over

I got up this morning and cleaned up my mess from yesterday and did my dishes.

The place is busy with all kinds of trucks and people coming in and out and getting ready for the Make over this week. 2 of the cottages are getting a complete make over.

I spent the rest of my morning cleaning out the outside compartment as i ran over the tank that my washer/dryer goes into and the underneath compartment needed to dry out. A fan was used to help dry it out.

I spent my afternoon sitting outside enjoying the fresh air. It was a beautiful day to sit outside. Right before dark the compartment was dry and so the task of putting everything back was finally done.

We have been warned to lock everything up and be on the look out with the make over and the up coming rummage sale tomorrow.

It’s been a long day and i’m so ready to hit the shower and head to bed to relax.

Block Party

I got up this morning and got my dishes done, picked up a bit. After lunch i started working on getting things ready for the block party tonight. Jeb used the tractor to bring me the 2 huge picnic tables under the pavilion. Then the guys moved the 2 tables that Dorothy and I have. I put on table clothes and gathered the folding tables from the other Rver’s for the food. I made a pot of chili and tea for drinks.

Here’s the guys cooking. 2 Rver’s (Al and hubby) and 3 of the staff (Nolan, Kyle, and Justin) were the grill chief’s for the block party. Thanks guys for doing a great job!!

We had people visiting while the cook’s were busy and then we had some who were just resting.

It was great to see Ambrosia, she is here on spring break from college.

After we ate until we felt we were gonna bust, we had great fellowship and before long dark was approaching and it was time to clean up and head inside. I finally got inside my camper after 9 pm. We had a wonderful block party and that is exactly what we had. Everyone who attended lives on this property and were either volunteers or staff. What a wonderful time and i had a great time planning this event.
