Kay did another amazing job for the ladies gathering. Kay is an amazing woman. She has a heart that is so huge and it’s full of love. God has given Kay a wonderful gift in return she shares that gift each year with the ladies during an annual event she started 6 years ago when Kay’s husband Jerry became our Director of a wonderful RV Ministry.
Kay chose the theme for our event as Chosen Vessel. Kay gave another wonderful message to the ladies and the love she has for all the women in this ministry is felt by everyone. Words can not describe how God sends his message through Kay and the love she has for our Savior Jesus Christ and anyone around her. Her message was based on scripture 1 Peter 2-9 titled The Message. It was so heart felt and a heart felt spiritual blessing that was outstanding. We definitely knew the Holy Spirit was among us during this gathering.
Since we were celebrating the 25 years of “Building Churches and Changing Lives” Kay with all of her hard work was determined to have 2 baskets for each year and she did it!! Kay had 50 basket’s this year to give away .. and of course the fight was on who was going to be a lucky winner.
After the wonderful message Kay shared with us it was time for snacks and drinks .. Of course the place was decorated beautifully and as you can see by the pictures .. it was a huge turn out and this year we went from sitting around a table to sitting in chairs there were so many of us …
Kay using different pots to demonstrate her message. You can see the emotion and what you see with Kay is how we all felt. I don’t believe there was a dry eye in the place.
Kay sang a song and Shirley did the sign language for it and it was absolutely beautiful and very moving.
Kay purchased a pottery pin and had it engraved with Chosen Vessel for all the women to wear. She also had a book marker made for each of us.
Of course then it was time for the calling of numbers .. kinda of like bingo but if your number is called you get one of the wonderful baskets! What a great time that is
Once again it was an amazing afternoon and then it was time to get home and get a quick nap before it was dinner time.
After Dinner we had another amazing speaker. Dr George Wood who is the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Ministry. Dr. Wood did an outstanding job of speaking and it was an honor to hear him speak.
It was another ending to another wonderful day filled with love, laughter and a wonderful spiritual renewing.
Happy Summer!!

2011 Convention begins
Registration began on Saturday night and we got to visit a little bit but it was cut short as we were also playing grandparents. We picked up on grand babies on Friday afternoon and they went home on Sunday morning before services.
We had lots of rigs for the 2011 Convention .. it was reported to be a record breaking attendance. Almost 600 people and over 200 rigs! Lots of rigs everywhere.
Sunday morning services started out with Sartell, MN pastor of The Waters Church Reverend Doug Vagle, he had a wonderful message and we really enjoyed him. Then Communion and a Memorial Service DVD that was hard to watch as we had 2 wonderful women that our ministry lost .. Tish Huffman and Ruth South. They have gone home with our Lord and Savior.
It was a cookout lunch after the morning services with lots of wonderful fellowship with friends we hadn’t seen in a year .. then it was back home for a short nap as i was exhausted.
The evening services was awesome with Alton Garrison who is the Assistant Superintendent of the Assemblies of God. I can listen to him speak for hours and it always feels as though he just began. If you have never heard him speak .. you need to .. after services we did some visiting and then was home to shower and hit the hay. I love Convention but it’s exhausting .. esp since i was exhausted before arriving.
Jerry had one of Alton Garrison Album he made when he was younger. Alton was saying how he sold 3 Albums for .99 cents on ebay .. of course we all got a laugh out of it. Of course the next morning after services they auctioned the Album off and it brought $500! The money it brought went to a good cause. Alton has started a program that outreaches to church’s struggling and it’s called Acts 2 Church. The money went to help fund it.
