Ranting

I really haven’t had anything to blog about the past few days.  It’s been hot and more hot.  So my time has been spent either sitting in the creek reading or staying inside to keep cool.  Our evenings have been spent visiting friends and trying to stay cool.

Today we went to town to get a few items needed.  Ughh the past few times we have went shopping i get grouchy and depressed!  The prices of food and the basic necessities are terrible!  I do not know how families are doing it. 

Fuel prices are up therefore stores have to pass their increase and that means food and other things are up as well.  That is a double hit on the consumers.

Another Hot Day

We’ve went straight from cold temps to dry and hot and i have resigned to not complaining since i was so sick of the rain and cold weather we’d had.

I thought i would post the damage results from the family vacation .. Yep thanks to the grand dog .. Hubby has some repair work to do to our living room slide trim.  See where she used the trim for a chew toy and then the hall way curtain was another chew toy.  The curtain i could of lived with as i plan to replace them anyway.  But … my trim, it wasn’t a good time when the damage was revealed.  Now the new rules are the grand dog must be in her cage when left alone inside. 

To endure the hot weather i have been going to the creek and sitting in the water while i work on my tan and catch up on reading.  Hubby has been passing his time fishing.

We are shocked how dead the ranch has been other then Memorial Day weekend.  There is hardly anyone here camping.  Not sure if it’s gas prices or the heat but something has definitely chased away the summer campers.

Big Catch

Kelsey caught her first big fish and was so excited.  It’s not as big as hubby but it’s a big one for her first.


We took her fish on Friday to the taxidermy she’s having it mounted.  We’ve been busy with the kids and i haven’t had time for much blogging. 
I’ve been enjoying the hot weather and sitting at the creek reading a good book while my feet hang in the water and i keep cool. 
Friday we went out to eat with good friends Rick and Deb and then afterwards it was off to do a bit of shopping. (not much as the kids would eat it all .. hehe)
Were enjoying our time here on the ranch, fishing, relaxing and reading, 4 wheeling and visiting good friends.

Fishing and Fun

It’s been a busy few days.  The kids and hubby have been catching their limit of fish and needless to say I’ve been a very happy camper with lots of fish to eat.  

The weather has been great .. nice and warm and makes the creek feel wonderful for sitting with your feet in it to get cooled off.

Happy Memorial Day

It has worked …

Tyson and his family had to leave today .. unfortunately work calls.  The grandkids got new hats.  

Once Tyson was gone, I chased hubby and the other 2 kids off to go fishing while I picked and cleaned up some what.  I got some laundry going as well. 

Later in the evening it was time to take the grand dog to play.

She loves the water and it’s a great warm day for playing in the water.

The water from the flooding is still up and running over the crossings.  Of course that hasn’t stopped the 4 wheelers from crossing.

It’s been another beautiful fun filled day on the ranch.

Beautiful day at the Ranch

Tyson and his family arrived around 3.30 AM.  We were up and starting a beautiful day at the ranch.

We’ve spent the day 4 wheel riding and throwing rocks and ...

The kids are having a great time at the ranch.

It was a great day of fun and were all wore out.
