Friday the 13th!

Today has been another beautiful day.  I slept in as today is finally a day off for me.  I got up and got busy getting my home picked up and today i’m going to strip the bed and wash the bed linens.

I had to be in Eldred by 3.15 PM to pick up my grand daughter after school.  Hailey is spending the weekend with us.  She wanted one night by herself without her little brother being here. 

We arrived back home around close to time for dinner.  Hailey rode her bike and we played outside until the rain started.  The rest of the evening was spent inside having fun.

Thursday
It was another day of up early and off to the dentist.  Today was a trip to Jacksonville.  Ughh i will so be glad when these dentist appointments are finished.  The price of diesel their getting expensive.

Some errands were ran after the appointment and then we went out to lunch .. Yep .. Chinese again today.  I can eat Chinese everyday .. I love the stuff.

We got home and then the rest of the evening was spent enjoying a beautiful evening of sitting outside with friends.

Enjoying Grandson

Ughh i had to be up by 5:30 AM to go pick up our little Tobster.  Then it was on to Wood river to  the dentist.  Hubby had to get an x-ray to get approval for his crown.  
 
Then it was back home to enjoy the grandson.  We rode 4 wheelers, played inside as my grandson kept saying it was too hot outside.  Of course Grandma wasn’t complaining.
 
Around alittle after 5 PM his mom called and we headed to meet her.  Then we stopped by McDonalds for their $ menu for dinner.  We had a great time enjoying our grandson but grandma and Papa were ready for some quiet time.  I spent my evening enjoying the great outdoors visiting with neighbors and then it was early to bed.

Happy 50th Birthday Sis

Today my sister Rosie is 50 years old!  Happy Birthday Sis, hope it is a great one.
Today has been a warm day and i spent it doing laundry.  I love having my own washer/dryer in my home.  It is so convenient.  Yes, it takes longer but it’s nice having one in my home.  I find i do laundry most days during the week but hey i keep up with it :))

After dinner friends and fellow campers Gene and Georgia had a fire and we all gathered around for a beautiful evening of enjoying wonderful temps.

Nice Warm Day

I got up this morning and started cleaning.  After the kids this weekend my nice clean home was a mess again.  I did the dishes, swept the floors, cleaned the bathroom and started my laundry.  I even shampoo the carpet downstairs.
 
After lunch i went and worked 3 hours of my volunteer position here.  When i got home hubby wanted a hair cut as it has finally warmed up.  It got to 83 degrees here … Finally the warmth has arrived.
After dinner i took Lexi for a small walk and then the rest of my evening was spent being lazy in my chair.  I’m exhausted! 

It’s going to be a night of early to bed .. I just hope i can get out of bed in the morning.

Happy Mother’s Day

I slept in this morning and it felt so good.  The kids got me some flowers for Mother’s Day.  I love this succulent pot, it has different plants.

I had 2 succulent plants that a friend from Florida gave me but they died. 

They also got me a Flower Carpet pink supreme rose bush

Hubby and I spent the morning trying to decide where i wanted my new pole.

I finally decided i wanted it right next to my old pole and here is what i decided. Hubby also helped me hang my humming bird feeders up.
   
I got a new gas grill today too!  We had planned to grill out and when hubby got out our old grill the grate was missing .. hmmm

The kids volunteered to run to town and get me a new one and i told them what i wanted.  I like the cheap $20 grills.  So the kids went and got it for me.  Wow they have raised the prices and looks.  Now the grills are $25 bucks with less features.  My old one had a electric ignite the new one does not.

It was another wonderful day of enjoying the outside and family.  I didn’t get any pictures of either cook out.  We had Hamburgers and hot dogs today.  It was a good day but i was glad to see the kids head home around 9 pm.

Happy Anniversary Honey

Today is our Anniversary.  I have been happily married to the most wonderful man, my prince charming, my soul mate and one of the most precious gifts God has given me.  I’m a very lucky women to have my honey and i want to say to him.  I love you and thank you for all the wonderful years and I look forward to many more.

What we had planned for our Anniversary has been changed.  Hubby wanted today to be our day.  Of course that didn’t happen since our kids showed up late last night to spend the weekend with us.  Now you know why hubby is an unhappy camper. 

Although i have to admit we did enjoy our day together.  We went to our favorite place to eat.  yep, Chinese, the kids went with us and afterwards we went to tractor supply and looked around, the kids picked up a few things for their baby and then we went to Sears where hubby got a new toy (flash light) that hooks to his new drill set he purchased a few months ago and then to Rural King where i purchased a toy (shepherds pole) for my bird feeders.

Then we came home and i made potato salad, vegetable salad for a pot luck we went to at Wanda’s camper.  We had a great evening.  Wanda, Jim, Dave, Cora, the kids, hubby and I all enjoyed the beautiful evening.  Finally around 9.30 pm we headed home.

Day of Cleaning

I got up fairly early and started cleaning.  I needed to do several loads of laundry and i forgot to mention yesterday that my washer/dryer parts came in and hubby fixed it.  I’m so happy to have it going again.  Just imagine i didn’t think i wanted one because of the space i lose but i have to say i do not like it when i have to go without it.  I love having it in my home.  It’s so convenient and i do not have to lug stuff up and down the stairs.

I did the dishes that hadn’t been done for a couple of days.  I know terrible huh?  I vacuumed, swept, cleaned the bathroom.  It took me all morning to get my cleaning done and now i have a clean home :))

My sister Patty called me and she was checking out a campground near us and wanted to see if was home.  She stopped by and it was good to see her as i haven't had a chance to see my siblings since i've been back.  (there never seems to be enough time) I got to meet my new great niece Cayley and she is beautiful.  They couldn't stay long but it was great to see her. 

Since the sun was out and it was such a beautiful day several of us campers here sat outside in the sun enjoying the warmth and sunshine.

After dinner I went down to Wanda’s and we sat at her place and enjoyed the fire from a safe distance away that my asthma wouldn’t go wild.  We sat outside until around 9.30 pm and enjoyed our time together.

I went to bed a little after 10 pm and around 11 pm our son Gabe showed up!  He is spending the night .. there went my weekend of no kids (hubby is not a happy camper)
