Tribute

This page is dedicated to our beloved loved ones we have lost.  Lucy, Duke, Dixie and Dolly.

Duke was the oldest and the only male. Duke was 18 years old, we've had him since he was 6 weeks old. He was a wired hair minuture daschaund (wienner) Duke was a mama's boy .. where ever mom goes he went. Duke could not even be left with our kids as he refused to eat or drink when momma wasn't home with him. Duke passed away around 4.15 AM on September 21, 2012. Duke was a great joy in our lives. From the moment we saw him he fit into our family perfectly. May you rest in peace Duke.

Dixie, was 17 years old, a wired hair minuture daschaund (wienner), whom came to live with us at 4 months old (She is Duke's daughter). Dixie suffered a back injury and has trouble walking at times. Dixie was our oldest son's baby and since he has moved out and has a family of his own she just stays to herself most of the time. She loves to get loving when only she wants it and will stay hid most the rest of the time. We had to have Dixie Put down around 1.30 PM on September 21, 2012 due to cancer. Dixie was a great joy in our lives. May you rest in peace Dixie.

Then we have Lucy (LuLu) she was 15 years old and a wired hair minuture daschaund (wienner) Lucy had been with us since her birth (Dixie was her doggie mom and Duke was her grandpa)we were all there when Lucy was born.  Hubby named her within minutes.  She was a little stinker of the liter.  Lucy was born 10/1996, she was a daddy's girl big time .. in daddy's eyes she could do no wrong and yes ... she knew it!  Lucy is the one who had to have emergency surgery Christmas night in 2010. Lucy passed away at 8.15 AM on March 6, 2012. LuLu was a great joy in our lives. May you rest in peace LuLu.

Dolly, was 15 years old and a slick hair minuture daschaund (wienner), she was a rescue dog and loved life and everybody in it.  Dolly was 5 years old when she came to live with us.  She had been with us since 2003. She suffered a severe back injury not long after we got her and they thought she may never walk again but she not only walks, she runs too .. I have to admit sometimes it was side ways and she walks on the tip of her toes due to nerve damage.  She was the most happiest dog we have ever had.  She lovesdto curl up in her covers and sleep.  Dolly passed away at 8.35 Am, on June 5, 2013.  May you rest in peace our sweet Dolly.
