A Blah Day

It’s a blah day .. we decided to do nothing but just lazy around.  When it’s cloudy out i become lazy and that is what today is with the sun hiding behind the clouds most of the day.  We decided today wasn’t a good day to travel so we paid up for another day, it looks as though tomorrow will be moving day.

I woke up around 7 AM!  It’s official my body is on it’s winter schedule. It wasn’t long after i was up the electric went off.  The camp host stopped by to tell us it wasn’t our camper the entire camp ground is without electric.  I decided it would be a good time to get some straightening up done and last night’s dinner dishes.

The sun tries to come out and then the clouds covers it up, the wind is blowing and to me it’s a bit on the nippy side.  We decided since were without power we’d take the dogs on a long walk.  We headed over to walk around one of the closed part of the park.  This is a beautiful park and i can imagine families having a blast here in the summer months.  It was lunch time when we returned and still no power.  It wasn’t long after lunch that the power came back on.  So i got our dirty laundry going.  Plus using the washer will put more water in our black tank to help with emptying tomorrow :)

After lunch we decided to take the dogs on a drive and we drove across the dam to Persimmon Hill campground.  They have a very nice paved walk trail around the wooded area.  The dogs love their walks and it was a beautiful walk about.  Unfortunately i forgot my camera :(  Would have been some great photo shots.  During our walk the wind picked up and the leaves were falling around us off the tree.  A reminder that winter is approaching and it’s time to move on to warmer climate.

Everyone was wore out after our walk and so we came home to take a nice little nap.  After dinner we took the dogs on one last walk about and then got things to ready to roll in the morning.  After i got my work done of cleaning up the dinner dishes,  putting up a few things and securing  a few cabinets.  The rest of the evening is being spent relaxing curled up in bed reading a good book.  YEP .. I’m on winter time zone.

We’ve enjoyed our time here at Wallace Creek and we hope to come back when it’s warmer!  If all goes well we should be in Alexandria, LA tomorrow night.  We will be there around 6 –7 weeks depending on the project.  On Monday we will be off of R & R and to work being servants for Jesus Christ.
